He will contest the 2 not 1 stamps on opponents legs ! and Chelsea will back him, how can they ? he knew what was doing, and Cattermole would have been off had it been him.
The ****er has it coming. Hope it's increased to 4 games. Can't believe the club is behind this appeal. Stupid.
What if Costa is given 4 games instead of 3. And they don't get a result in the 4th game of his ban because they didn't score? And they lose the league by a point. It would be one for the ages.
Might be the only time I would cheer for City. Jose would never live it down. Arrogant twat is exactly right.
No costa on saturday makes a huge difference and he knows it Lost any remaining respect for the winging wop after we did them at there place last season, he's as deluded as a deluded mag
Might be the only time I would cheer for City. Jose would never live it down. Worth an extra game added to the ban? I understand it's clear they will rule before the game. Not like he can delay a decision, get Costa in against City, and then take the 4 games. Big big risk if you ask me.
Got me there mate, thought is was 48hrs from time of charge, which ****s them for saturday, pissed, full of injuns, watching the end of godfather II and just read it again and happy days
Costa will probably be bullied against Kompany anyhow, Jose's better off with Drogba in there. I quite like Costa though, the way he plays, nasty bastard, the league could do with a few more of his type. Instead it's full of Raheem Sterling-esq pussies who flap about on the floor like they've been shot when another player shouts at them.
Have to say I completely agree Terry - right nasty sod and it's good to see in the modern game. Perfect for the PL. He goes far too far with it sometimes though (I wonder what the ref would've done had both of his feet connected with O'Shea's head as they were aimed?) Had it been a Tiote or David Luiz esque player instead of O'Shea they'd probably still be rolling around clutching the bit he missed! But it's nice to see a player willing to dish it out. Just wish they all got the same punishment
I don't think he's the type to curb it, after a ban, it's in his blood innit. The guy deserves to be banned, obviously but it makes a change to the buck-toothed **** who went the other way, rolling around like he'd been shot every time he was brushed past, yet had no problem dishing it out did he? Good to see a bit of give and take. I thought Gerrard was gonna reach for one of his trademark two footer for Costa at one point in that game, the pair of them were at boiling point!
I like him and as with Catts he does not try to injure players, unlike a few others, who repeatedly con refs and get away with worse behavior. Just for the record Jos went in hard on him from the start, and wound him up, no harm done, but the ref let the side down and Wes took the rap literally, but none of them complained, as they all knew what they were doing and fair do,s to all three.
Gerrard doesn;t do things like that... He never puts in bad challenges or uses his elbows or anything. He also doesn;t ever dive or go down easily.. He is the model professional!!! (Seriously he's a ****... ****ing hope his birthday party in the FA CUp final is totally ruined and his Liverpool side are whimpering to a 9th place finish - or relegated - but sadly the latter won't happen!)
Diego Costa has lost his appeal against an FA violent conduct charge and has been given a three-match ban that will keep him out of Chelsea's clash with Manchester City. The Chelsea striker will miss his side's top-of-the-table Premier League clash against City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday after losing his appeal at a Football Association hearing on Friday. The Brazilian-born Spain striker has been given the ban after treading down on the ankle of Liverpool's Emre Can in the first half of the Capital One Cup semi-final, second leg, at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. Chelsea won that game 1-0 to complete a 2-1 aggregate victory. Chelsea, who are five points clear at the top of the table, will be without Costa for Saturday's clash against second-placed Manchester City as well as for their games at Aston Villa and at home to Everton. Chelsea had given their full support to Costa for the FA regulatory commission hearing, which was fast-tracked to be heard on Friday to ensure an outcome was reached before the huge match against City, which you can watch live on Saturday Night Football on Sky Sports 1 from 4.45pm. There is no right of appeal.
I have only even seen it on one occasion where a player/club get an extra game ban for an appeal... Turner v Man City? havnt noticed this since.
