Well at least the general shape of the car looks quite nice. The livery is enormously disappointing. Hopefully its just for testing, because it manages to look both dull and half finished.
It looks like Prodromou has gotten his hands on the rear of the rear of the car. The livery is disapppinting behind any belief. McLaren Mercedes was the silver arrow but nowthe works team has that. McLaren desperately need to reidentify themselves and this is a shocker. The lack of sponsors I hope indicates that there is still something to come but I am not hopeful. Honda was the most exciting part of 2015 and the livery makes me deflated already! Surely they cant have those colours after all that teasing. Anyone think these e-launches are leaving significant room for noticeable changes on the cars? Like last year, features will be added and removed fr Jerez onwards.
I love how their video teases the white and red that everybody wanted, then they just hard cut to grey.
I suspect that there's a half-decent-looking car hidden under that nasty livery, which looks like they couldn't make up their minds between two colour schemes and opted for half-and-half. Call me shallow but it's not a patch on the curvy, sexy Williams in the looks department. But it's not about the looks, is it? Or, is it? Anyway, I wanted papaya. Humpf.
It's a shame their livery is so horrendously monotonous, considering that car is going to be so slow we'll be seeing it for 2 minutes a lap They'll struggle to break top ten each race I reckon.
The livery is just so bad and given that they have no title sponsor it gave them freedom to do what the wanted! If they felt the need to retain the McLaren silver/grey they could have but set it on a dominant colour concept! Their marketing department needs sacking, or take the crayons off Ron!
They have led a lot people on if this is the genuine colour scheme. They had a chance to be reborn after some absolutely dreadful performances and they keep what is essentially a shrine to their Mercedes past! Doesn't make any sense. Please let their be a surprise coming. It would be amazing if they turned up to Australia without any announcement and whipped out a totally new scheme.
