He's got to come back at some point. I'm assuming the long lay-off and the extensive treatment were meant to ensure (as far as that's possible) that it doesn't recur. I'm hoping his regime has been designed to bring him back when he's fully fit and not just in the general vicinity.
i agree... we don't know out here looking in but............... one would have to assume that as he is in full contact training he's cleared to play. for how long is impossible to say... could be 30mins this week we can't know
Almost certain it'll be an unchanged lineup from us for the second leg. Not sure on the bench, but I would assume Sturridge will be on there
Sturridge's injury has healed as he wouldn't be training and in contention if it hadn't. The only thing is his match fitness but I think have him on the bench and can you imagine the reaction he'll get and the boost the team will get if he comes on with 20 minutes to go while we're searching for a goal.
Think the Bradford result will see Chelsea coming out for blood. A little worried tbh. I know we will have a plan in place but Chelsea will mentally be right up for this and you know Mourinho will want a response after the beating Bradford gave them.
There will be doubts all the way mentally though as they were 2-0 up before they conceded 4! This will keep us in it all the I think
True, think we may need to brave the storm a bit in the beginning. However, an early goal may cause some doubt in their mind too. It will be interesting to see what happens. I know Rafa used to leave the line-up late so if he spotted something he would throw a tactical twist in. Not sure if BR does that but could be.
Really looking forward to this game, I hope we can play with the same intensity as the last leg. Relly hope no silly team selections happen from Rodgers like Balotelli or Johnson.
Crucial next 7 days for both teams. Shared joy or disaster for one. Chelsea could be out of 2 competitons in 4 days. We could be out of both too in 8 days ( but .It is not going to happen. ) Most likely scenario... we'll both remain in one after this week...
