However, we have to offer him a contract as we simply cannot let it run down - as it is illegal, as proven.
I'm sure I've heard that player X * "has not been offered a new contract" often enough. Presumably not all dismissal can be regarded as unfair. *Not literally "X"- before anyone starts......
From the article you linked to ( my highlighting): Surely that indicates that other factors may be brought into consideration when deciding whether the dismissal is fair or not? I take your point that the article states categorically that it is defined as dismissal, but surely only if it can be shown to be unfair can there be any comeback? I've been a sole trader for 30 years btw, so I know absolutely sod all about employment laws.
Footballers contracts are covered by FA, UEFA and FIFA regulations and fall outside of normal employment law For example, if a player is in the last year of his contract then he can speak to a club from another FA when he has 6 months remaining, but he can't speak to a club in his present FA until his contract is on the verge of expiring. Rules like this don't exist in 'normal' employment law, ergo these contract aren't 'normal'
If these are back for the FA cup, OK. If they become starters straight away I will be annoyed as the boys who have been in are on a roll. Only Studge at the moment can probably come in straight away and even then you have to bump someone out who has been playing well. Joe Allen, he can press and pass left and right but we are at a point we need more. Still think Can should be in the middle at some point, especially if Lovren ever gets healthy/his act together.
Can can go in the middle once we complete the Hummels signing PS...Studge might struggle to get the side once we sign Neymadge too
Looks like we might not sign anyone and really no rumors out there sound like they are true either. Need to find the thread but how are our loan signings doin? Normally I am all over this but with coaching and surgery recently I have been out of the loop a bit. Hopefully this is just BR doing his manager duty of giving injured players the little confidence boost.
Catholic. Fish is traditional food on a Friday. When I was at school we had Catholics on one level of the building and Protestants on another. The Proddies called us Coggers, amongst other things.
