Whatever makes you feel good mate, either way three at the back has been working, now Brendan has copied it Has your # key worn out
You mancs are kissing Van Beavis's twitchy ass but if his stubborn refusal to adopt 4-4-2 costs his club a place in the CL next season they'll be looking for the chosen one mark III next summer.
You're just kidding yourself if you think yoonited's league position reflects 3-5-2 being boring but successful, they've stumbled through most games and individual players as well as the managers awful tactics have saw yoonited become the luckiest team in the league, that on top of playing on average only one game per week since august.
But as you're aware the luck will run out and then he'll be back to being compared to Moyes, and take into consideration Moyes had to deal with 2 games per week including travelling to Europe with a much weaker squad than the Dutch feller.
Credit to Rodgers for finally picking a system that masks our inefficiencies. But he wouldn't need to play 3-5-2 if we had a competent GK, RCB and DM.
I'm not going to get drawn into defending an argument I didn't make, or let the details obscure the broader point I was making. Which was: that we can't say Rodgers deserves no credit for doing what we've all been telling him to do for months, because we haven't all been telling him to do the same thing. If he went on our suggestions he'd be spinning round in circles. And I'm going to leave it there.
If Brod gets the criticism well we aren't performing then he should get the praise when we are #simples
You've got to give him some praise even if you think he's a chump. As you were struggling like hell, he changed the formation and they've made it work. You've got to give him credit for that. I wish our manager would take a leaf out of his book and show the same level of flexibility.
Fair comment...but then surely we still have to question why it took him so long to get us performing well (I'm not saying you suggest otherwise and the rest of this isn't aimed at you ). The issues with us defensively were obvious last year. Fair enough he tried to address them in the summer but he got it wrong (Lovren didn't solve anything) and he still persisted with the same keeper (even though many of us knew a year ago he isn't good enough). The issue of Suarez leaving was apparently not even considered a likely scenario by Rodgers and his staff. How ****ing deep into the sand were their heads buried? The issue of Sturridge and his injuries wasn't addressed properly either. Was this another thing that came as a surprise to them? We did splash out on three strikers in the summer and how many goals have they scored between them for us....2 league goals for an outlay of about £30mill As much as we have to say well done for beating a few mid table teams we also have to admit he makes some seriously poor errors for a man in charge of the biggest club in Britain. Those listed above are just a selection. That's not impatient, he's been here long enough for us to judge his actions. It's not a call for his head either, he has had a lot to deal with during his tenure some of which he's dealt with very well. He's a young manager so we know he's still learning but ultimately if we aren't at least challenging for a top four place by May then it will be another disappointing season and the criticism will rightly increase. If we are challenging then he'll get all the credit he deserves (and some totally OTT stuff as well no doubt).
Absolutely. The buck stops with the manager on everything. For example, if a individual isn't performing well why is the manager continuing to pick him? Its why I defend the likes of Gerrard, he's doing the best he can in a position and role that doesn't suit. The questions should be aimed squarely at Brod, not Stevie.
