Oh well, no real harm done and a good week and a half to work at Playford Road.

10 days rest, ok not good to dwell on a defeat but a number of the boys need a few days off, recuperate, recharge, refresh then we go again.! COYBs

Shame just met the seagulls in great form. As often been said the Championship probably the most competitive division in world football at the professional level. 19 games left and we can still at least get a play-off place at worst but you never know. Up the Town<badger>

Good views all -nineteen to play, 1 point off top. We'd have taken that back in August......

Gutted to have lost though :( annoying!

Yeah not going to dwell to much on this defeat. Just a shame we couldn't go top tonight.

Well done Brighton, played very well

spot on Westy a point behind the leaders with 19 games to play, we wouldn't have thought it possible back in August. After Christmas is when you find out if youre good enough or not to be at the top end of the Division, the real test starts now through to May 2nd.

Very disappointing to hear this result, more so the 3 goals conceded than the result itself.

Probably a good time for a break, regroup recharge and go again. Its just a shame we cant have have that break sitting top of the league.

4 of next 6 home ( very winnable on paper ) with trips to Fulham and Rotherham - good chance of a decent points talley from the next 18 available.

If we can get 12 from the next 18 that will do nicely, keep us well within the hunt for Play-offs but also auto.

It gets tougher after that TBH.

I would be interested to hear Warky's thoughts on last nights game. I think he went, I was going to but for health matters...

From what I heard on the radio, we played decently enough, better than recent games too and no-one played a shocker. It seemed we just lacked those penetrating crosses from wide men. One goal was a deflection but Brighton clearly deserved their win and good luck to them.

As others have said, time for a good rest, re-charge, injured and faint-hearted to re-group and battle on to the 2nd half of a long old season. And we have lets not forget, done pretty damn brilliantly for 6 months! No-one, including me, thought we would be just 1 pt behind the leaders! We need to get back to winning ways pronto, as others will start seeing weaknesses in our line-up, and losing games can become a bad habit! (3 of last 4). But all said,I remain very positive.

Wonder where MM will play McG on his return. Behind Murph and Freddie perhaps?

Does anyone know the extent of Didsy's injury, will he be back after our break.?

My eldest Son went last night with his mate and they both said that we were total Garbage!

I was going to go but I gave my Son's mate my ticket... Thank God I did by all accounts!

Nothing is decided in January and we are still in a very healthy position but my God being a Town fan at times is not easy! <laugh> We never do things the easy way! <ok>

We were bound to have a bad spell......the trick is to make it as short as possible.

I think that last nights defeat was largely down to Micks team selection, should have stuck with a winning team but he just can't help himself, he had to bring his lovechild Skuse back and shove Tabb out on the left at the expense of Hunt who set up our first two goals on Saturday. The effect of this was to make us less of an attacking force and instead of going at them from the off like Saturday we let them come at us with the result of letting them gain the upper hand which we never got back. We are much better when we take the game to the opposition and thats what last nights changes stopped us from doing

We started poorly and Brighton played as well as anyone we've faced so far. Just one of those nights.
Players have been ill and also probably fatigued.

Only change I would have made would be Sears starting over Noel Hunt.

One of the positives from last night was Freddie's goal when he came on!

It will give the boy huge confidence and he looked a class act! <ok>

I think Sears will prove to be a masterstroke from Mick. All the potential he had when he started out at West Ham will now come back to fruition. He's young, hungry and maybe feels he has something to prove,if anyone can get the best out of him mm and tc will. Didn't really hear much on last nights game, was to busy beating the cat up after Brightons second and third goals and then went to bed in a mood. A much needed break now for the boys that were ill and some r and r for those that weren't and we'll be back strong as ever to continue our charge to the prem.

I am with anglian, Skuse should never have started, the guy has been ill and could not have been 100!! Dont like Skuse and Tabb in same side, especially Tabb out wide!!
Blame MM for last night but i guess you cant get it right every week!!

Tabb on the left puzzled me too. I wasn't happy seeing that either.

You will all know I am with you on the Skuse & Tabb story. Change the team......bring them both back in.....one still suffering after-effects of nasty virus....and we lose the 1st half, go down by 3 goals and give them bags of confidence. Not the best of MM
team selection, but, we dont know all the ins and outs.

Freddie on tother hand a great find. Col U must be so angry!

I am sure we will come back to the park in 10 days, keen and fit, and get back to winning ways.
