Keith Southern in on loan and Caton and Wildig loaned out to Conference teams. I remember Southern playing in the Premier League for Blackpool a few years back - apparently chose Fleetwood over us in the close season but has not had much of a look-in there. Looks like a rugged ball-winning central midfielder so perhaps Woods will play a bit further forward so I can see the logic of this if MM thinks Southern is better than Griffith. With Weso possibly out for a while unless someone else is coming in it looks as if all that talk about big bids for Woods is pie-in -the - sky. Woods will be better off playing for us anyway and he did look a lot livelier on Saturday after understandably for a young player hitting a bit of a flat patch around Christmas. I think Southern may well start against Stevenage (a game to which he could be well suited) but I hope it is not Grant who makes way as he was very creative on Saturday putting in some great long passes and crosses. If anyone else is brought in I would like it to be another striker but everyone else is on the lookout in that position so I would be surprised if that happens.

with Wes probably out for the season, MM has moved rapidly to bring in Southern though we shall see if he is on bench on Saturday. good to see players going out on loan for experience/reduce towns pay bill. it looks obvious that no one else is coming our way without reducing our wage bill.

pleasing to see town have one of or the best defence of 92 clubs.

as for strikers, I hope last weeks performances have fired up Collins mangan and co etc.
