From the club's official twitter FIXTURE CHANGE: As a result the @ChelseaFC game will now be played on Sunday 22 March and will kick-off at 4pm
So moving it to the time SKY shows game on a Sunday wasn't just a coincidence and done because they just felt like it?
These bastards don't mind who they upset just please themselves. As a season ticket holder I strongly disagree with this. If I can't make this game does it mean I can have my money back.
I'm getting more and more ****ed off with this. I have to plan and take annual leave to go to most games, I will probably miss this game now. This has just made my mind up about renewing my season pass.
It's an absolute ****ter that so many of our home games are being televised. I bought sky last April with a view to sitting on my enormous sofa at home to watch our televised away games, West Ham at the weekend was the first away game we've had televised since then, with a ****ing bucket load of home games. In the rules for these televised fixtures they should add a new one that each club should have to have an equal share home and away, it's not fair that we keep having so many home kick offs ****ed about with and only one in almost an entire year away from home. In fact wasn't our last televised away fixture before the weekend the Swansea away game last season in December?
Agree with you. But in the real world that isn't going to happen. Following teams involved in the battle to be champions or involved in the battle to,avoid relegation means that the team playing away is what determines the decision to show a match. Not to mention the thing about he who pays the piper and all that.
I've a feeling the home game v Liverpool in April might be on TV as well. TV companies have a habit of choosing matches that have previously been high scoring or thrown a surprise result. I've a commitment on that Sunday that I have to attend so keeping my fingers crossed it's not moved to that day.
Stop ****ing grumbling. There was a time when City were never on the telly. Sunday at 4.00pm isn't a bad kick off time IMO. Better than a Monday Night or the early Saturday/Sunday kick off slot.
I don't mind the early kick off slot, it's far better for me, it's the later ones that piss me off, specially the 17:30 Saturday one.
This isn't a rule but I agree it should be. Crystal Palace springs to mind. They installed a new studio when they came up with us and Sky only used it for the first time the same Sunday we shed Spurs in the 4:00pm making it unused for a whole season before.
We get a fixed amount from Sky for televised games, we have to exceed a certain amount before we get additional payments and we get nowhere near enough to trigger extra payments, so we gain nothing from this game being switched to TV.
That is the best thing to come out of this (in my personal battle with all that is wrong with premier league). Thought long and hard about renewing passes for myself and 2 sons (even with the price hike). Decided not to and haven't missed it one bit. Pick and choose when to watch live (home and away) and sit back at home and save the petrol (travel from Leicester) when we are on tv. This is a bonus for me. I would never pay £50 to watch any football match so having it on tv is fine by me but this is what is wrong with football. Another smack in the face for season ticket holders. Especially for those who live out of town. We are not valued (in case you didn't already know). **** 'em all
