Right back isn't Jazz' position but when called on (the very few times compared to how often others are allowed to be abysmal but still get picked even after a series of red cards) he's been more than up to the job. I'd much rather have Jazz given a run in the position and spend money where it really is needed. CDM, LB and Striker.
So we have an aging Rangel that Naughton seems to be targeted to replace. Taylor is leaving - it appears. When Painter was injured a few years ago, Tate was his first choice replacement and Jazz (under Sousa I believe) played a string of matches at LB and did quite well. This is before the arrival of Taylor. Jazz has played for Wales seniors at LB in place of Taylor (as it happens). So going forward - if all the transfers close - at LB .... Tiendali or Jazz is the question. I vote Jazz.
I am glad to hear he is a right back as we have struggled on this side this season. Taylor still not back to previous form but hope he will stay, a little competition for him would also not go amiss.
There was another youngster I think who covered briefly on the right, I think in the Championship? Alfi ...I think he went on loan. Anybody remember him and know where he is?
Daniel Alfei has been out on loan I believe at Northampton, sent back early and the loan cancelled don't know why.
Maybe Tom Carroll may well be our next addition along with Naughton. Would you be happy with 10m for both. http://www.thetottenhamway.com/2015/01/20/spurs-willing-sell-tom-carroll-swansea-5m/ http://talksport.com/football/tottenham-transfer-news-fans-are-amazed-bit-business-150120133159
I think Carroll suits us and would be happy with that. I am not convinced of 5m for Naughton. Lets hope he proves a lot of us wrong.
Our manager got rid of average players and replaced them with class a la Ki, Montero, Fabianski, Fernandez and Gylfi.
Why hasn't, left back, Stephen Kingsley been mentioned? Although only 20 he had 90+ senior games for Falkirk - the standard isn't the same admittedly but surely you have to have something to have been a regular senior player for three seasons. I know he's had some injury problems but if we are bringing in these players (regular senior team players) they should be making appearances. Or is going to be another who festers in the reserves?
All were but Danny wasn't well received from fan accounts. He's had a few loan spells and did OK with Portsmouth.
Could be - I've lost track on a whole group who came in at the end of last season. But there's no mention of a loan on his Wiki page.
He has been injured since September and is only just coming back now, I think we will start to see him progress soon. Mind you is a very modern FB, great going forward not the best defensively.
