P4ddy p0wer have opened with 5/2 on the 10yr old GENERAL TUFTO who should march his way to the enclosure. with hindsight looks the only runner that has half a chance of getting close and 6s is no where near tempting enough to go against the general , f/c or rf/c could be nice though.

Up ten pounds for back to back victories looks a big ask for a ten year old UC but you know your onions. FC looks good too and Shamiana for the tricast!

If cheltenham was tomorrow would you still be happy to back a john joe o neill runner considering a woefull run of form?

This just proves how different we all are ste. My first priority is that the yard has to be in form. I download the cards each day and rarely ever back a horse from a yard that are winnerless in the last fortnight. If you read my write ups you will regularly see the comment "yard in good form".

Oh it definatly nice to see a yard in form and I do try to look at everything but you cant back an inform yard with a 5f runner in an 8f race , the more boxes ticked the better the chance

Well john joe is the master having them ready for march so il keep an eye on his runners over the next few weeks.
Stick I seen a pundit over my side of the pond was of the opinion value at risk was being aimed at the albert bartlett, lets hope the neptune is still the number one target!

Unsure on shamiana I think I prefer falcons reign on the tricast , but saying that I hate the sand anything can happen. One things for sure though the bookies are not giving anything away value wise , shamiana at 20s holds a big risk and could place or hack up with the intresting jockey change. As they say time will tell fingers crossed

Very sad to read of the passing of Anne Kirkbride, aka Deirdre Barlow. Given his propensity for backing horses named after Coronation Street stars, I'm sure Sir Barney Chuckles will be flying his "no bet banner" at half mast today. RIP.

Reve De Nuit 10/1 Southwell 3.05 should bounce back to form after misfiring in a poorly run 3 runner affair last time here. With a better pace on I'd expect a better showing from Karl Burke's inmate with a useful 3lb claim coming off with Joey Haynes in the saddle.

The beautifully bred Deuce Again won on his AW début here with contemptuous ease and must be difficult to oppose here. However, the one with form in the book at this venue is Reve De Nuit and stands at 12/1. His best form is on this track and looks good ew value to me. Maybe for the forecast?

<laugh> As Stick said, "he knows his onions" but, honestly, ain't worth a **** on his fancy tablet; all bleedin' thumbs!
No worries, U.C., keep up the good work, only wish I could pick the winners like you (even though I sometimes can't find the bloody things; flipping Ekbalco can though <laugh>). <ok>

P.S. ...and U.C. told me a while ago I was so out-of-date using a PC, and said get with it and buy a tablet. Well, the missus has just got the best available (apparently) and I absolutely hate it. Must say she loves the silly instrument.
