ah ok....

well its i suppose still a bit of a kick for any everton fan wanting one but some mad chinese dude will snap them up.

Hey i did request your name be changed to the regular senior member just now.

I think invariably it's overseas tourists who'll pay the big money to see a PL game as part of their 'experience' over here.

You see the front rows of most the big clubs seats full of obvious day trippers. A sign of how the game's changed so dramatically I suppose

So who benefits?
It's not "just" supply and demand- it's profiteering, something that used to be frowned upon by most reasonable people but in the modern Free Trade era is inexplicably acceptable, or even admirable.

This is from the above mentioned article;
An MP involved in the secondary ticket sales debate in the Commons said that touts would find another way to charge more than face value for tickets.

Great. Why not make all anti-social activity legal because people will just flout the law anyway? What hope is there for us when morons like this rule the country?

It is simply supply and demand, people will pay what they consider its worth.

As for who benefits, the person selling the tickets, the person buying the tickets, the agent and the club - where's the loser?

Personally I don't like the idea of people selling tickets to fellow supporters for over face value, but each to their own. I don't see what the fuss is about.

I see that a certain fans group huff and puff about stub hub and the prices they allow tickets to be sold for.

Yet these same fans groups snap up away day tickets and distribute between a closed group, this makes it almost impossible for me to get an away day ticket. But as they trade at face value between 'friends' it is all okay.

Everton v West Brom

Everton winger Aiden McGeady is suspended following his red card in the FA Cup defeat at West Ham.

Defenders Tony Hibbert and Sylvain Distin have a chance of making the squad after injury.

Saido Berahino is available for West Brom after his court hearing for drink-driving - originally scheduled for Monday - was brought forward.

Defender Jonas Olsson has returned to light training but won't return for two weeks.

Exactly.

Buying away tickets even if not going, in order to keep the points score high and selling it to your mate at face value is exempt from their ire.

Hardly surprising that Kelly has leapt on a non-story about a fan who's put a daft value on his seats and won't sell them anyway.
