Good Morning Everyone, Another point at the weekend, but was it a point earned, or two points dropped. Stats can be turned to anyone's advantage, well, maybe not Millwall, they're DOOOOMEEDDDDDDD..... According to the stats on Bet365, Leeds had more attacks, more dangerous attacks and more shots on target. There were times, not that long ago, they we could go an entire game without having a shot on target. Does that mean we have improved as the seasons gone on? Here are the extended highlights During the game, Cellino was wearing a purple scarf, as a kid of reverse psychology. Shame it didn't work. Phil Hay has tweeted that Cellino's appeal verdict will be known in the next day or so, but not to be surprised if we hear today! We are also told to expect two signings this week. One, is expected to be Sol Bamba. Redfearn has said that he wants to keep Sharp at the club! I'm not sure whether he is just hedging his bets incase Cellino over rules him, or using psychology to push Ipswich into signing him permanently, not just to the end of the season? Maybe he's trying to keep the striker sweet, until such times that we bring in an adequate replacement? A little off topic, but according to Google, the term 'codhead' is aimed more at Hull fans, than Grimsby town fans! Thoughts?
Morning all, thanks for the highlights Elland, if You went by them alone I would have said Birmingham edged it but with the stats and reports on here from others who attended the game they all seem to agree we were the better and deserved a win. At this stage of the season it is 3 points we need, a couple of times this season just when you start to think all hope is lost we pull a result out the bag, wouldn't surprise me if we beat Bournemouth tomorrow, fingers crossed. We need a front man who knows where the back of the net is, defence with Cooper and Bellusci seems settled, I expect a week ahead with lots of talking points.
Morning ristac, We wouldn't be Leeds Utd if they weren't any drama's / talking points A goalscoring centre forward is a must.
Cellino was wearing purple as it was the 17th. The nutter believes the bad luck both brings cancels each other out. Morning all
The good folk of Hull are only in vogue here because the village idiot mashed his keyboard in a couple of posts here yesterday. Given that collectively they mean nothing to us I am suprised to see it mentioned in the hallowed morning thread. In other news I decided to get the first post of an obvious point out of the way early (before anyone else does one). Ice is very cold, it is also very slippy.
Morning all. Thanks for the highlights Elland. In answer to your thread and not other agendas, stats show it is still a fact that we have only 3 pts from the last 6, same as Millwall !! who are doooooomed.. Charlton are falling fast, thank goodness with only2 pts from last 6. With 20 games left it is another obvious fact that we need to improve and start to get some confidence back in the team. Bournemouth on Tuesday will be a great time to start and hopefully the weather holds out for a good result. I hope the expected new signings are ones that will bring some championship experience to the club. I am not expecting good news from the MC hearing this week as I think it will just drag on, and on, and on.....
''You only sing when you're fishing'' always makes me laugh and I've heard it sang at both sets of fans and even at Grimsby by Hull so I guess it's about equal who its directed at. Btw Chris Eagles has just been made a free agent, still good enough to do well in the Championship imho
Seriously if you want to go my Mrs isnt using her ST. Happy to let someone use it. First to PM me gets it. Downside it is sat next to me.
Afternoon all I find it difficult to get excited about the prospect of signing Sol Bamba. Match Thread to come at some point, crazy busy today
Good morning to MATT AND co from a cloudy Cote de Bardsey So MC has lost his appeal and cannot have anything to do with the running of the club so no doubt plan B will come into action with his son stepping in his shoes apparently he cannot run the club until 10 April Does anyone thing different about his ban Hope we have news on some good signings
Cellino has lost his appeal.... A Professional Conduct Committee has rejected an appeal by Massimo Cellino against his disqualification from owning Leeds United. The Football League board had ruled that Cellino is subject to a disqualifying condition under its Owners' and Directors' Test. The PCC found that the reasoned judgment of the Italian Court, once it had become available, was for an act involving dishonesty as determined by the Board in its original ruling in March 2014. Mr. Cellino’s appeal against that original decision had been upheld on the basis that it could not be concluded that the offence necessarily involved a ‘Dishonest Act’ for the purposes of the Test. Once the reasoned judgment became available, the Board considered the matter again and concluded that it clearly demonstrated that Cellino’s offence did indeed involve acts that would reasonably be considered to be dishonest. We consider that the judge’s findings of fact and her description of Mr. Cellino’s state of mind based on them, is of conduct which would reasonably be considered to be dishonest. We therefore conclude that Mr.Cellino has been convicted of an offence involving a ‘Dishonest Act’ within the meaning of the rules, and that he is accordingly subject to a ‘Disqualifying Condition – PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT COMMITTEE STATEMENT
