I loved the way around the 50 min mark where we'd been ridiculously open, we lost the ball then Coq cleared in the box and started shouting at the midfield for giving the ball away and not tracking back. Good sign
i would just like to point out that its been 18 months since Arsenal have really pushed on the finances signing players like Sanchez and Ozil. Arsenal have played City twice this season scored four goals conceding only two and getting 4 points from them. They beat Dortmund also and drew with Liverpool at Anfield having been heavily beaten last season. Chelsea still have to go to the emirates. There have been some disappointments but all of a sudden Arsenal are looking more like the Arsenal of old when the playing field was more even. I remember well when Arsenal beat Real at our home and also drew with us at Highbury., knocking us out of the Champions League Today reminded me of those games. Arenal gave us no space and did not let us play and Henry got the decisive goal over the two games. I think Wenger is starting to get his team together and but for injuries this year i think Arsenal would be very close to the top. i also think Arsenal have a valid chance to win the champions league this year. it is amazing that they are in the position they are in having had so many injuries. There is no need for new players just belief in the squad and team AND manager.
There is a LOT of need for new players. A huge need. Arsenal MIGHT finish 4th this season - it's still very much in doubt - but they are far from a league challenge. There is ZERO evidence that Arsenal will get everyone fit - they haven't had a fully fit squad in a long, long time. Strength is depth is needed.
at fullback, In midfield and on the wide positions we have plenty of depth. It's only really at Centreback and Defensive midfield that we are lacking. Who knows if Wenger buys a CB this Jan and Coquelin can keep this level of performance up we could actually get back into the title race.
According to Sky you're 25-30m ahead of us wages-wise. The Mancs are ahead of both clubs though. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...seas-wage-bill-rises-to-1631905million-a-year
Citeh really missed the physicality and drive of Yaya methinks. We played really well and were tactically spot on but it would have been a different game had he been playing. Not dissing us by any measure, simply highlighting the difference a physical player can make.
Firstly Wenger deserves credit for that win at City. He set the team up perfectly and made good substitutions. He gets a lot of **** from some fans so he should also get the credit when ts due. As for a DM it's imperative that we have a decent player in there that can play that role. Our team has so much more balance when the back four are shielded. It also allows the mf players to pick the ball up quickly and move forward also it allows out attacking players to concentrate on attacking. What I thought we did really well at City though was to defend as a whole team. When city had the ball we had 10-11 men behind the ball and it just stifled city. In a way, we did to them what a lot of teams have done to us. We let them have possession and moved the ball forwards quickly when the lost it.
