Who's this ****ing clown that's on Humberside at the moment? Reckons Gestede coming to us, definately, because he wasn't picked yesterday.
Chester confirmed dislocation. Operation will be to pin it, cos one they've popped they just won't stop. Out for the season probably.
Cringed when I heard the eggchasing commentator claiming the 'Big City Derby' was one of the biggest is the sporting world, and certainly in rugby league. Then the embarrassment when asked about the crowd 'Erm, six or seven thousand'. The first football/City related caller had me reaching for the off switch.
rubbish, he got us here to the PL, if the worse come to the worse, he'll get us back up, in Bruce we trust.
I'm not sure we can afford to go down. I mean literally. It's a bit strange that Bruce is still here, any other club would have sacked him now and it is, if I'm being honest refreshing to see owners stand by their manager. Sadly, they're business men and I think they'll get rid of him. I really don't want to lose SB, but I think the Allams will want the money from this league and they'll do what they can to get their hands on it.
A chap on the actual 606 right now is saying this exact same thing, but Ian Wright seems to think if we keep Brucey, things will turn round. I like Wrighty's optimism... I wish I could share it!
This appointment of an "Assistant Manager" in the coming weeks will be interesting. If its big name, I reckon Bruce wont have had a say in the decision. Phil Brown was always going to take Parky's job........
Terrible news for us. I liked the way he took it like a man, was even smiling as he came off the pitch, compare it to the likes of Debuchy who you would have thought had been shot by a sniper. Still a shocking situation to lose a player of his calibre.
I know its hard to stomach what's going on at the moment but SB is the best manager we've ever had in my opinion, we've got to hold our nerve's and back him ,if we become a yo-yo club for a season or two so be it, but get rid of SB its a short cut to back to were we came from league 2
We sacked Phil Brown and went down, changing the manager would be crazy now, our first half display was very good, but for losing two full backs we might have got a point today, McGregor was poor all game along with Davis. if we get Jelavic back for Newcastle and Aluko watches endless videos of his display today, I think we might do ok, we took Sunderland and Everton apart so we can do it #In Bruce We trust
We'd have gone down had he stayed, we were terrible that season. If there's ever a time to change the manager, it's during the transfer window.
If SB's prediction that Chester will need an op is correct then it will be a long job. However, much depends upon the amount of damage to the joint's capsule - it is often stretched and weakened leading to future increased risk of dislocation. Sometimes though the dislocation can be successfully reversed without permanent damage and, if that's the case, Chessy might make it back a bit earlier (still a couple of months out though).
If there was a time for letting Bruce go, I think it's gone now. I can't see anyone coming in and turning things around with only 10 days of the window left. I think Bruce was given assurances by the Allams in late December though - flatly turning down any link to Newcastle when he was going through the worst run of his tenure just doesn't make sense. I think he's been given the rest of the season at least. And as people have said - worst case scenario - if we do go down, then Bruce is the man you would want for the championship. He bounced back with Birmingham.
i'd much rather be relegated with Bruce at the helm in the championship than watch a new manager wanting to bring in a load of new faces - we will lose a few players certainly - but i want us to have consistency and stability - Most of our problems have been out of the managers hands
