well here we are 2 matches later after my last post and i think leeds have improved slightly now the question remains can leeds get 24 points in the remaining 20 matches and survive the drop ?
While Redders is in charge, I have big doubts, but, I think we may just miss the drop all the same. Without Redders in charge, yes I believe we can move up table into a comfort zone.
Although i said otherwise yesterday, i think we have a good enough squad to stay up. I'm not Redders greatest fan but If you think getting rid him now would help the cause you are very much deluded my friend. Stability and a couple of fresh faces is all we need.
LeedsinYork, I don't know who you are but, was there any real need to use the word deluded. I could easily reply in kind, but not my way. "I'm not Redders greatest fan but If you think getting rid him now would help the cause you are very much deluded my friend. Stability and a couple of fresh faces is all we need." This is not aimed at you LeedsinYork, or anyone else, but in general. I'm always intrigued when some mention "we need stability" in the same sentence as "we shouldn't get rid of the manager/coach" Some said the same thing with BM. If we need stability in the team, is that because someone has brought about instability in first place? the obvious question after that would be who. We are sitting 2 places above the drop zone, who put us there? Wasn't Cellino, he brought the players in and appointed Redders as coach at the fans request, granted, he made mistakes with Hockaday and Darko. What's also intriguing is, some of the fans who were shouting for Redders as 1st team coach are now trying to blame Cellino. Football is a results game, in any team in any league, if the manager/coach doesn't get the results then more often than not they're sacked. If a manager/coach has successes, then he's happy to quite rightly accept the plaudits however, if he has failures or fails, then it falls on his shoulders to accept responsibility, that's the way the game is. Redders imo, is sneakily trying to deflect blame away from himself by continually saying "we need championship experienced players" didn't he play some against Bolton and Brum, and in some previous games? Food for thought.
I agree. Redfearn knew the set up when he accepted the position of head coach. He knew the type of players we target now, also that they're likely to be Italian and not of his choosing. He had plenty of time to assess the situation and obviously thought he could be a success working within those boundaries, otherwise he'd have played it safe and stayed with the academy. Ultimately the buck stops with Redfearn. He can't complain about needing more players with Championship experience because he must have known from the outset that was never likely to happen.
Fantastic 1-0 win over championship leaders and a double over bournemouth this season NOW ITS 21 POINTS NEEDED IN 19 MATCHES !! AND MOVING UP THE LEAGUE ! as i said before instead of relegation lets go and attack and get promoted through the play offs !
