Timeform's attempt to calculate the chances of Sprinter Sacre returning to at least his best (ie 192, the highest ever rating since Arkle) can be read here
Interesting read thanks Ronaldo. The only time I saw SS live was when he beat Sizing Europe in the CC at Punchestown and he had to scramble home fairly heavy legged that day too albeit winning by 6 lengths I think it was still as close as anything got to him before he PU last time. It will be interesting to see what happens, it wouldn't surprise me were he to do a 'Denman' and not win tomorrow yet hose up at HQ given he comes out of it ok, it will be fascinating to watch and I hope he get's around safe and sound then what will be will be.
They rarely seem to come back to there best after serious injurys. A real Shame for racing as he was clearly a star. I wouldn't write him off for Cheltenham, as a little more improvement on today's form and he'll be up there. However if he does win at Cheltenham it will likely be workmanlike, I just can't see him returning to his brilliant best
I'm not sure id go that far haha! I think he has a lot to prove after today's defeat. He can win, and I'd love to see him win, but 3/1 is short enough for a horse that looks unlikely to refind his best form
Very good Ron, good to see your still in charge on here. It seems to have got very quiet on here these days, not just this forum the football forums are very quiet too
