Lloris will be spurs player of the season. Single handeddly (literally) winning scraping them points

I missed that in the first half but I thought they were overrun in the second half. They cannot control or dictate a midfield.

Happy with that some good performances and other than a 20 min period an easy win.

Rode our luck but created more than enough chances to warrent a win. Getting a run of form going now, Spammers at home next in the league, win that and it sets us up nicely going in to the Derby, with hopefully Sturridge back by then. Back-to-back clean sheets, we've turned a corner.

  5. Scrappy at times but did the job needed although partial thanks go to Aston Villa for being unable to score <laugh>

Also, Ibe looked promising when he came on. Last time I saw play for us he wanted to run with it every time whereas he seemed to know when to pass and when to run with it today.

Because some fans can see beyond a single moment of quality, and rather focus on the overall performance.

Shame United and Spurs both won, especially Spurs with their late winner <doh>

If Newcastle can get something against Southampton then we'll only be 5 points behind both 3rd and 4th place and would have picked up 13 points from a possible 15 <ok>

Every team will have a period of play and we did look poor for about 20 mins but in general Hendo was great going box to box and Lucas broke up the play well and kept us ticking over, I thought it was a good combination.

    How long did he get?

  10. Bit of an exaggeration if your calling that performance by Borini a blinder <laugh>

I agree he doesn't deserve the criticism he gets though. I'll always appreciate a player that works hard.

Because some 'fans' criticise every ****ing player regardless of game, result or performance. Point is, those two supposedly ****e players were the only ones who popped up with goals today.

I never said Borini had a blinder, I said I don't know many players who do come in out the cold and get a blinder. Ie, Borini didn't, and isn't alone in that. But at least he scored and got us on the way to a win. Simple enough..

  17. I wasn't sure if you were saying he'd had a blinder or not, hence me using the word 'if' in my reply <ok>

But Borini was sh*t today - do you think scoring a goal compensates for a poor performance?

    Fair enough.
Seems that fans expect him to come in and play fantastic despite, what, 3.5 games worth of game time all season? At least he came in and got a goal through effort, willingness and good movement. That's more than most players who've come into our team...I don't see why he deserves criticism for it, personally. I'd still play him every day of the week over the 'supremely talented but enigma' that is Mario until Sturridge returns.

2 goals and an assist would have been par for Borini's chances today
