That does sound rather like Sagbo.

For Christ sake get back to earth. £6m for Snodgrass, played 20 minutes, £7 m for Jelavic injured, £10m Hernandez injured, we've spent a bloody fortune. You can't expect another multi million signing we are Hull City not Man City. We have to scrape through through until injuries improve AND support manager and team.

Please do, I was almost excited at the prospect of Ameobi, then I woke up.

    This ^^

I don't know where people are expecting the money to come from, if Allam has already said he isn't funding any more signings then we're going to have to rely on loans and free transfers. Ameobi is somebody who Brucey will know pretty well and while he isn't everybodies first choice, at least we know he'll score against Sunderland. We currently have no fit strikers, Ameobi is a striker. Many of you just said you'd rather have no striker up front than a bloke who's never kicked a ball for us, hell, you never know.

I'd rather just persevere with Sagbo. Similar type of player (ie. Big, black, wouldn't want to meet down a dark alley), but we already have him on our books and I think he's better.

Agree, Sagbo is better but if the club let him go (which in the current climate of insanity isn't a longshot) there isn't much we have left.

No, we can't afford him. Which bit of, "I'm not putting any more money into the club" isn't clear? It seems nonsensical as surely with the team in a relegation battle, he'd want to ensure we stay up to make his crappy marketing ploy look better, but that seems the way he wants to play it.

Oh dear. Shola is a busted flush and would offer you next to nothing imo, Odd if true I'd have had Bruce down as a realist and anyone can see Shola is ****ing useless these days

He can't afford for us to be relegated. If he won't put money in with us in the current position then it's not because he's not willing, it's because he can't afford that either.

This would be the equivalent of signing Ian bloody Dowie as manager. Stick Maguire up front, I think it has potential; certainly more than Ameobi.

This ^^^^^^^^ is all utter nonsense.

Allam is the owner of a PL football club, if he wants to be the owner of a Championship Club then he should sign the likes of Shola Ameobi.

If he does sign Shola Ameobi he still won't have a fit ****ing striker!!! This is more a nonsense than the ****ing name-change, this is football and it's a no bloody brainer - HE IS WRONG ON EVERY ****ING LEVEL. Unbelievable.

Hes on his last pay day at his boyhood club.

Yes of course he could do an amazing job for us all the same, but, I honestly can't see him wanting to play for anyone else.

I think the name change is a disgrace and I'm totally against it BUT you can't argue that Allam has put a fortune into this team. I can understand him not being willing to go throwing another £7/8 mill at it.

Bruce always says he only wants to bring in players who will improve us.
Shola is no improvement on Sagbo so I can't see that one happening. Same with Fletcher from Sunderland.
