I say cork definitely needs to start, since schneiderlin and wanyama are out.

My head says a 1-1 draw but I reckon we can snatch a win from this one, with Elia scoring and assisting.

Newcastle have a bit of trouble with injuries too then.....they looked good 1st half vs Chelsea but then poor 2nd half, I think if we can get the first goal we can hold on to win

For me, Cork in the centre of midfield for me instead of Long and consider Elia on the left instead of Tadic who appears be be carrying a back problem tonight

I doubt Cork is able to come straight back into the side as a starter. That's why I left him out.

He played 45 minutes for the U21's on Monday so I wouldn't be surprised if he starts on Saturday.

It was Schneiderlin rather than Tadic with the 4th goal at home!

Losing Morgan and Vic in the last week has changed my view of this game...be a real test with 2 of our main players out in such an important position in front of the defence. We have other good midfielders, but of a different type. Shame we had to have that replay as the team only have a couple of days to sort things out. The option of moving Toby forward isn't there either. Newcastle aren't all that and are without a manager, but they are at home. Going for a Saints win....just.

I'd be tempted to start with Reed, move JWP out wider and take out either Tadic or Elia. Leave one of them to come on with Long later on.

Still not a bad option Tom that you have picked.

We are not looking at the big picture here. It's not important who's missing and who will feature. The important thing is that Tintin has opened the match thread.

With your thoughts here FLT and fully agree. Need to control the midfield and keep it tight

Difficult game, made even more so by our key injuries! My team would be something like:

Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Gardos, Bertrand, Cork, Ward-Prowse, Davis, Tadic, Elia, Pelle.

Bench: K.Davis, Long, Reed, Targett, Hesketh, Isgrove, Mccarthy.
