I could not agree more. Tony has made some shocking decisions. And I am really not sure if he is learning from his mistakes

Agree about the too long bit. The problem is that we and the chairman want quick success. Throwing money at it simply does not work unless you have the resources of Scum, City or United.

We would do well to learn from the likes of Everton, Southampton and the likes. Invest for a 3-5 year vision with youth, stability and desire being at the very core. Unfortunately, we got promoted too early which again puts the pressure on for instant success. We've been in this same predicament before and know how things do not just fall in to place. There is no magic formula although we continue to search in desperation.

    Keep the faith!

    Good point.

This has been the main sticking point for me, who should replace Harold. I'm just in the sod it, had enough now time for a change camp.

Reading the posts about his replacement on here and other threads it looks like not everyone will be please whoever gets appointed. I would take a punt on Glen until the end of this season, and then look at a long term plan.

Seems to be many rumours now on twitter that Harry will be gone by the weekend. Sad really but he has had plenty of time/money /chances to sort QPR out.
Just remember when we were in the Championship he messed about getting us up when we had the best squad/money in the division. He waited until the last moment of the window to bring in Keane/Doyle/Miaga who were not the answer. Fluffed about the last 2 transfer windows going after players that were never going to come.
As for Remy! He was virtually giving him away. Any decent manager would have sorted his contract out before Scum came knocking.

Who remembers the away games in the Championship at Burnley,Leicester,Forrest, derby? All games we needed to get results at, and his tactics/team selections cost us and we lost them all. Harry won't keep us up in the prem because like last time he doesn't know how to, yet we will hear the usual 'we will be fine' but reality is we won't be. You can't stay up losing all your away games and also blowing valuable points (Palace/Hull/Swans/Liverpool) at home.
He is lost for ideas because his methods are 10 yrs out of date. Look what happened when Sctveee left for Derby, we went to pot.

Then there is Adel who is our most gifted player and like all gifted players you need to nurture them, like Warnock did with Adel and got the best out of him. Harry has always had a problem with him and is so stuck in his jurassic ways that he can't get the best out of him. As for Charlie, who by the way was never Harry's first target and Harry never saw him as number one striker in the Prem but after losing Remy he had no choice and Charlie proved me and many other wrong and is our leading scorer.

I knew before we went to Burnley that we would lose. Not because i think they have a better team or work rate but because they have a better manager. SD hasn't gone out and wasted millions on a team of crocks and past the sell by date players. The only way for Redknapp to sustain a position is to buy buy buy. He has spent a career on it. He is not a manager to get a group of players and turn them into a team.

At QPR we need a manager who is young and has ideas about the game and future and only then we will be able to move forward.

I get the feeling that TF is resigned to us going down and that's why he's put the block on any transfers this time round. Looking at our performances there has been zero improvement and, at times, we seem to actually be getting worse, that is absolutely down to Harry.

I'd go with Hoddle for the rest of the season and allow a couple of loans (I don't know whether we've reached the limit yet) but it will be a miracle if this bunch of plodders can save us...

Whilst I agree Arry is not the man for the job just to balance out the 'old crocks' accusations he has signed Charlie, Matt Phillips, Caulker, Jordan Mutch and Alex McCArthy. All promising young players (apparently), plus the lad from Liverpool. I think Harry has done a bad job but we don't need all the spin a balanced view still reveals he's not done well.

Well said that man. I've not wanted to believe the criticism of Harry by fans of other clubs but I think the point is now clear. Buy, buy and buy does not lead to success.

Were half way through the transfer window now and we have only got one striker in on loan, im not saying keep buying but our defence is so poor surely this is the area of priority right now for the club?

Cause we are still trying to work out what he has achieved here so far, besides writing a weekly column and talking about every other team except ours. Players never seem to mention anything of him.

He's our Micheal Jackson clone, stands somewhere near the stadium each game day and has a blank look on his face.
The only difference is Jackson sold more records whilst holding his crutch.

I agree, give it to Hoddle and Ferdinand till the end of the season. But when HR goes, Bond and Jordan should go too as our problems are on the training ground as well as the hopeless mismanagement.

I cannot understand why HR didn't go after the Wembley win. He'd never again hit such a high point and does he really want to be the first QPR manager to relegate us twice from the Prem?

I feel you've hit the nail on the head here Frome. There is some seriously imbalanced bias currently being spouted. As far as i'm concerned HR did a relatively good job in getting us promoted. It's gubbins to suggest we had the best team in the championship that year just because it cost more to assemble than others. Both Leicester and Burnley had better sides that had played together far longer. HR may be going through the motions, and tactically naive, but what he did manage to do was disband Hughes' shambolic efforts in a short space of time and get some sort of team together who were capable of mounting a promotion challenge (albeit a very one). For that alone he deserves some credit. At the start of that season the vast majority of R's fans did not think we would be getting promoted yet somehow we did.

As for Sherwood.... no fu*king way. We've missed Pulis so unless some other top drawer candidate comes out of the woodwork I think we have to stick with HR til the end of the season or until we are definitely relegated.

Sherwood is Harry without the tactical nous - spud dud to dud spud.

It might be the lack of candidates to replace him, that saves him till summer.

It was the threat of the axe before that woke Harry for the Liverpool game that saw an upturn - hopefully it might again (wishful thinking probably)

Excellent man management technique, threaten to sack someone every 6 weeks to get a half acceptable level of performance out of them.

if we get rid of HR we need someone proven. no point taking a punt on an untested guy in my view. of course...i have no idea who that is which is why i think we should stick til the end of the season.
