I think he will leave at the end of the season regardless, he looks so depressed how can he inspire anyone. A sad end to his career!
Indeed a sad end for a manager up until recently I liked. This is why I think he should go now. He really does have that air of resignation about him, almost like he is just going through the motions until he retires at the end of this season (if he does). Bring someone in with some fire in their belly I say, the optimist in me says we may still be able to fix this.
Be great if Harry was to go it would be lunacy to give the job to Sherwood he has absolutely zero experience when it comes to building a squad and our squad needs major surgery. He picked up an expensively assembled Spurs squad and gave them a boost in the short term but that's not long enough to judge him. Also if he comes in probably on big wages. What use will he be in the championship. Eddie Howe remains the stand out candidate for a club of our stature and a club facing a prospect of yo-yoing if we do get relegated
Agree. Question for him will be, does he stay until the end of season to try and salvage something, or cut his losses and go now? Personally, I'd rather a new person in as we are heading down as it stands. At least with a new person, worst case we could head down whilst they plan to rebuild, or best case they could bring a new lease of life and keep us up.
Can he really still motivate the dressing room with drive, energy and pupose to get the results that we need over the next couple of months? Can he come up with the tactics that are going to secure us some points away from home? Can he come up with the tactics that are going to secure the points we need at home against the better teams in the division? Is he going to be able to attract the players in the next two weeks to help us out of the situation we are in? Is he going to show any sort of passion or desire to want to do the job he's doing? ............ Can't see too many of those answered Yes..... in which case............
Do we read too much into this? Sadly I think his time is up, we can't go on playing like this much longer, will a new man succeed who knows.
I think an air of plodding towards a payout might be more accurate. I still can't quite see him going now though, just doesn't seem likely but I can't reason why.
We have a bad recent record of giving **** managers too long until it's too late. Hopefully we've learned.
Eddie Howe would be an excellent choice, but I wonder why would he want to come to us and potentially get relegated rather being than promoted with Bournemouth? Like Southampton, Bournemouth have raised many good young players, who have moved on, yet the team remains strong & vibrant and always scoring lots of goals (despite their surprise home upset last Sat).
Don't want Harry but don't want Sherwood either. neither are the right fit for QPR. We really are in a mess at the moment from bottom of the club to the top. Why can't we just have a middle of the road Premiership club safe from relegation with no 'flash Harry's'? Fed up with all this now. We really are a circus act aren't we? The board won't support Harry because i don't think they believe in him anymore. The reason we haven't signed any more is because Harry wastes it on his old crock mates. He won't get Defoe and will now start blaming everyone bar himself. We should have been looking at promising players from the lower division that have something to prove and not players from the MLS! He has had 2 years to sort the team out but once again failed. Harry is a dinosaur of the game and like some of the players is on a meal ticket, their last pay day. TF must also take some blame because once again he has mad some stupid mistakes. The sooner this chapter in our history is over the better.
I would like to hear more from this nomadnick23 guy. Not many brave enough to ask the tough questions like that.
Hard to argue with any of that. We seem to have been in this **** place for so long. Over-paid, over the hill players. The blame must go all the way to the top.
