Where has the 14m figure come from? Have we heard official numbers? Think I read 3m plus Defoe.

14m must include wages? Why are we suddenly showing wages as part of the transfer?!

 

Also if people are concerned about his age, Kevin Phillips left us for Southampton as a 30 year old and then moved to four other Prem clubs between the ages of 32 - 38, scoring a further 79 during those twilight years of his career....but then again, that was super Kev !!!!

14m refers to his 'contract' claimed to be 80k over 3 1/2 years. The only problem with the intel is that this was being put about before he'd accepted terms.

I do know we have to maintain a wage budget to keep in line with the ffp rules Ellis himself played a big part in. I don't believe for one second he'll be on 80k a week. 50k plus bonuses I'd believe anything more just smells of bullshit speculation if you ask me.

 

Im on a course with a mag (lad I've known a while) and his exact words were "I hope you don't ****ing sign him! Want him at ours!" So at least he's honest... Most on the mag board wont be so gracious!
