Any United fan who is against joining (and I include myself in that) is not basing it on his biting. but primarily on the racism charge against him, and his actions and piss-poor attitude since being fund guilty. This isn't simply about a player protesting his innocence. Lets not forget he protested his innocence after the biting incidents only to have to admit to it when the video evidence was clear cut. Without it, he would STILL be protesting his innocence about that too. Added to that, the clear polarisation between two massive rival clubs - United and Liverpool during the whole saga. How hard is it to understand that after all that, it makes it impossible for any United fan (I know) to want Suarez. There's nothing more or less to this. Bloody hell, the signing of Michael Owen to United, his winning goal against City in added time shows this isn't simply about a rival player. Really don't get why anyone doesn't get this...unless they are a fairweather fan of a fairweather club tbh. A trait of modern fans.

As for comparison with the adulterous actions of Giggs, Rooney's wondering eye for ladies of the "older" persuasion, or Terry's indiscretions with his team-mates girl, this is the most insane argument of all. Football and society has moved on so things like racism are considered completely unacceptable and abhorrent to any civilised society. If you accept it in any form, you condone it in every form. Whereas, adultery has had a reversal of fortune. While maybe frowned upon half a century ago, it has progressively become a misdemeanor. BUT, more importantly it ONLY affects those involved, whereas racism affects the whole of society. That's why it merits a charge in football. Would I want Suarez at United? No, for the same reason I wouldn't have wanted Lee Bowyer either. Another racist c.unt <ok>

Some people have definitely bitten off more than they can chew.

Which is how all the problems started in the first place <whistle>

Says a lot about the RS that they chose to ignore his racist and cannibalistic behaviour because he was scoring goals and idolised him as their saviour. Even then he treated them with contempt.
