Hi Marcos <ok> I would have agreed in the past and wondered if it was down to a big money offer about to come in but on this occasion I think it was to rest them, I have to agree with DamnedUnited - we are going nowhere in the cup and league points are vital.

Maybe if we had been mid table not looking like going up or down they might have got some game time, I also do not believe that if we sold someone like Cook he would feature this season for any PL team, he would be one placed into their development program I am sure.

Didn't think Mowatt played at Bolton, in which case he probably didn't play at Sunderland to avoid being cup tied.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's on his way out, maybe there's PL club after a set piece 'specialist' who scuffs every corner and free kick he takes

Hi Ristac - hope you are both right. You make a valid point about Cook in particular probably not featuring even if he went. Probably just putting 2 & 2 together and getting 5 but I know rumours abound about all 3 and it seemed coincidental that none were cup tied!!

Assuming they were to be sold:

I'd be very surprised if Mowatt went anywhere other than a top 6 Championship team. He's put in quite a few good performances for us this season, but he isn't premiership quality (yet).

Byram is starting to find a bit of form again now, there wouldn't be the same scramble over him as there was after his big breakthrough, he could probably go to a mid - lower premiership team, though he might find himself getting loaned out if he did.

Cook, I'd be incredibly surprised / disappointed if he went anywhere right now. He's had a few blinders in his first pro season, and thats it. He needs to develop his game, and in an ideal world he wouldn't even be a regular starter for us at this point! It's just that we don't have anyone more experienced / better to take his place off him.

I watched Mick McCarthy on Mings, the interview was quite good and clear "He’s a really good player and he’s not going anywhere. He might as well hear that as well. That’s always the case, they think ‘is it going to happen..."

Obviously based on nothing other than what you have just posted, that doesn't reflect well on the first team prospects of Pearce, Del Fabro, Montenegro

Damned agree with your assessments of all three, however, all are young and have international recognition and with the money available in the premier league (and for those that choose to gamble on going up), if they see us as financially stricken as many would have us believe, I certainly wouldn't rule out offers for any or all of them. Look at Berahino at West Brom, only one season behind him and 21 years old being touted for £ 20 + million (I know he has Prem experience) - good English prospects are sought after.

True Marcos, the market for English players is crazy right now. I would hope that if any of them did get snapped up it wasn't into a system such as that at Chelsea, where they will be farmed out on loan and never actually play for the club that signed them. Still, footballers are mercenaries these days and would probably be happy with that. I do hold on to the slim idea that these youth products actually want to play for Leeds (as ridiculous as that may sound given our current circumstances).

    Do you really believe him?

Like when he said you would not sell McCormack
or when he said on 3 different occassions that he would buy Elland Road
or when he said you were not in debt
or when he said he would "make no mistakes at Leeds"
or when he said Refearn wasn't ready for the head coach role and was too important for the academy
or when he told you "Milanic is a winner" 4 weeks before sacking him?

If you really trust this bloke then you should read this http://www.aliasoft.com/themes/alger2.html <ok>

    Here little fishy!

Ffs spit the bait out. MC is a cock, but GFH did sign off, but not sure the signature is worth anything.

You say hat but before Christmas he instigated an article with the YEP saying he would love to sign a new contract, and is waiting to be offered one, and hoped they would soon.

Did you mean than instead of then ? thing is Elland we can sign players earning more than £10,000,we just can't pay more than £10,000 of that wage, meaning the other club would have to pay the rest.Does happen a lot Crewe won't be paying all Ajose's wage.

    <yikes> <yikes> <yikes>

I was using a headline to gain reaction. Using journalistic poetic licence...

Also I did not read the comments that went with the article.

The headline itself was sufficient to spark debate

    I love Leeds....
