They had a QPR fan on and between him, Darren Gough and Durham whilst not getting everything wrong, and the odd interesting point they seemed to be watching a different team to me. I heard that Isla can't play full back, why are we playing Dunne ahead of Rio? And that we are playing 3 at the back amongst other points raised. I know this is my mistake for having talk sport on, and changes need to be made, like some coaching and tactics to start with, but it was painful listening, apart from the odd game I thought we had dropped the 3 at the back a long time ago? And that Isla is one of the few plus points this season. Oh well each to their own opinion, but if people are going to talk about it on the radio please base it on more than MOTD highlights, maybe I expect far too much.
Radio London on sat (I was listening at work!) must have transposed Burnley/QPR 4/5 times to the point where we were winning at one stage and Charlie Austin was still playing for Burnley. Amateurish.
I like Isla a lot. But he isn't a right back, he's a right wing back by trade and there's a big difference.
Better off with 5 live. Had a 15 minute discussion entitled by Chappers as"why are QPR so sh*t away from home" on the Monday night club(the bit on qpr was at 8.30).Main point made was why on earth would arry pick Taraabts return to be a freezing cold day in Burnley, when you need to keep it tight.
That was the point Durham raised on the programme, 24 goals conceded in 10 defeats says it all, we're crap on the road and our defence should be prosecuted under the 'Trades Descriptions Act'...
It all points back to Redknapp though doesn't it? He bought Rio and brought in Isla to play in a 3 at the back system, which also would have suited Traore much better. As soon as that plan went out of the window, old dino chops has been clueless and only some risky wins at home have prevented us from sinking without trace.
