    Good Morning Everyone,

Derby will wait for results of an ankle injury before signing Stephen Warnock.

Our club Captain (apparently) sustained the injury last month at Derby, and although the injury was not at bad as first feared, has been out of action ever since.

Conveniently Warnock will not be cup tied either.

Derby, you injured him, so you take him...

Redders has been quoted as saying :-

A couple of black eyes in Leeds dressing room. Nothing wrong with that, Redfearn says, sign of commitment #lufc

Even if that comment is tongue in cheek, Redfearn should not be saying that. If there has been scuffles in the dressing room, that really is not good as far as I am concerned.

    Thoughts?

It sounds like both Warnock and Wootton are on their way out of the club. Maybe we have to conclude this bit of business until we are allowed to bring anyone in?

    Thoughts?

Morning all. We are already under limit in regards to the embargo so we should be okay for loans and out of contract players. Cellino has just returned from holiday, a strange time to take one when he has his hearing on Thursday. He effectively might have 48 hours left to sort out dealings. If he is banned and the FL have any evidence however slight that he is still involved then could you imagine the punishment?

I wouldn't allow those two to leave, Warnock is experienced and captain and Wooton would be good to have should we slip down a division and our loan players all go back.

Black eyes comment is a strange one...

Morning ristac, I'd go as far to say the Black eyes comment is a suicidal one. What was he thinking. You don;t say that.

Even though we are under the limit on number of players, maybe we had to get rid of a high wage earner, so another one can come aboard?

    Morning all <ok>

This Warnock situation needs resolving quickly one way or another. I do think we should keep him until summer, but it is looking less and less likely that that will be the case. Under a transfer embargo left back is WAY down the priority order for positions to be sorted out, so this looks to be causing an unnecessary complication.

As for the black eye comment, evidence that Redfearn is steadily losing the plot?

Good morning to Matt and co froma sunny Cote de Bardsey
Warnock situation as far as I am concerned is concluded he will go to Derbyand take another big chunk from our budget Wootton will be sold to Rotherham and I think Morrison and Norris will be offloaded thus freeing up more cash to spend on loanees which should mean 3 players coming in

    Morning all

I have a feeling that things are coming to a head at Leeds. The FL have not enjoyed MC's behaviour and his tenure of Leeds United. All the legal background to both his past and the legal implications for the FL have caused problems for both parties.

I also think that MC will be looking for a way out of his "ownership" of the club. There are too many links to the past that we know nothing about. If there is a way for the FL to sort it out once and for all they will take it. The FL are not going to be "played about with" much longer.

Whatever happens, the short term implications for the club are dire and the fantastic support this club has will be needed over the near future. MOT

Morning all. Mad busy so really cant be arsed with the Leeds goings on. Let them earn their wages by beating Birmingham instead of pointing fingers and fuelling rumours

It really saddens me to see the mighty Leeds United Football Club in a state of unrepair, and i think that we are going passed the point of no return, i hope i am wrong, BUT if we drop into divison one then we are in real trouble.
When we were in Divison one we had a better team then than we have now in my eyes, Beckford, Becchio, Howson, Snodgrass but to name afew, so whats your thoughts gentlemen!!!

Poor effort, TC. We all know there's no point in reading it as a renegotiation tookplace in Dubai at the end of the year, with all parties happy with the outcome. So nothing to stir up. 0/10.

We had some great players in the league one side, but we just didn't have a chairman with the ambition to match theirs, and retain them. You look at what Southampton have achieved over the same period and it really does show just how beaten up we are right now. There's enough negativity amongst our fan base right now to show how bad things have gotten. We need to avoid relegation this season if we want a platform to build any sort of success on. We also need rid of the likes of White / Morison / Norris but we've all been saying that for ages.

The problem is, we've now signed other players of questionable ability on long contracts, and so the cycle continues <doh>

The club has been a shambles now for close on 15 years. No reason to believe sadly that next 15 will be much different. Only consolation being some very nice people like bates and gfh have gotten very rich in the back of it

Maybe Warnock wants to go. Who could blame him swapping a bottom of table outfit for a team maybe heading for pl. if that's the case no point in trying to keep him

    Morning Elland,

I think you're bang out of order with the black eyes' quote. It's the kind of stirring I'd expect from our Wally chums. I posted the following about an hour after your original post last night .....

You should write for a redtop, Elland. You forgot the rest of the conversation, where we find out that it isn't quite so controversial - see last entry!.
    Are you TC in disguise?

@LeonWobYP Are you insinuating fighting between players? You might want to clarify.

@LeonWobYP Listening to the interview, no that it not what Redfern was implying. Thanks for the input Leon!

@lucasfunkt no, nothing to do with fighting, more injuries suffered on pitch was what he was alluding to. Ball in face etc.

Afternoon all ... black eyes quote alluded to the fact that the players battled hard against a physical Bolton team and more than stood up to them, nothing to do with team spirit ... Pearce was seen shouting encouragement at his team mates from the touchline, a show of togetherness rather than fracture ...

Warnock has been offered a contract to end of next season at Derby, so his reason for leaving is a sound one, can't blame him at this stage of his careeer, and if Derby go up he will get a fat wage increase to be a backup defender, nice ...

the new formation seems to have injected energy into the team, we need to find a left sided midfielder who can bomb forward and get into the box, maybe Montenegro needs a few games in this role ... a win on Saturday will do wonders, and if we keep fighting the way we did at Bolton, results will start going our way for sure ... let's see if we get a couple of new players in this January window, may just make a difference ... The nly thing GFH signed was a £5M capital injection (in form of annother loan) - Unless you have a different version of events that you feel you are on top of?

Hi Guys - not got into the habit of posting as I thought I would! A bit off topic but, with all the negativity in the air (I am normally ridiculously positive) do you think there is an underlying reason why Cook, Byram and Mowatt were left out completely in the Cup game against Sunderland?

    Afternoon Marcos

If I had to guess, I'd think it was honestly to give them a rest. They have played a lot this season and we all saw what happened to Byram in his breakthrough season. These guys aren't ready to play 2 games a week every week. Also if Cook and Mowatt are considered to be 2 of our midfield mainstays at the minute, then they should have been rested for the FA cup which we aren't going anywhere in. Need to be saved to get us out of this mess!
