I dunno, but its all bollocks when fans start bragging about attendances/away fans, Cathedrals etc. All that's matters is what happens on the pitch!
Eh? This is about you being caught by the obvious dangling fishhook vs you coming onto our board and trying to make a silly point that rapidly gets quashed at which point you resort to claiming that it was all just a wum Of course there aren't any points for attendance! And I completely agree with you that being at the top of the league is most important. But footballing support is important too - football wouldn't be there if it wasn't for the fans. So the number of fans for each club is of interest. Hence why JWM (albeit foolishly) tried to brag about Ipswich's attendance. You can't have your cake and eat it mate.
I think John McVicar's silly comments will only work to spur us on.... And to mis-quote the real McVicar.....'we may not win,but we will be the closest second you've ever ****ing seen'
what Im trying to say Rob is the attendance thingy is a fall back when things aren't going to well, Leeds being prime example of a club that uses this! who ****ing cares!
I just don't understand what provoked him to make these comments. I've never heard of any beef between the two clubs before and there was nothing on the pitch to make it 'heated' in the boardrooms! Why say it? Ipswich must have provoked him (and his club) in some way. You don't just make comments like that!
Actually, Leeds use the whole 'history' angle when things aren't going so well. Thank god they're the only club to do that!
I think he has a reputation for it supers, I think remember a while back he was goading another team. seems like a total tool to me and it only reflects badly on Derby!
I think he is probably trying to come across as 'one of the guys' 'same as the fans' instead he comes across as a 'BellEnd'.
oh you little tinker supers! must remember which club decided to have 50th celebration on losing a semi final!
When things aren't going well you have to have something to fall back on, we have a proud History that can used when needed and I'm sure you guys have something that you can call on...can't think what but I'm sure something.....
For a club with a decent record of home attendnaces, that is a pretty dire away support for a top of the table clash... Just thought I'd add my ten pence to the attendnace debate
You'd still have been all over this forum like a rash regardless of whether your gaff resembles a library or a morgue. Never mind, on the telly again on Wednesday - so you can show us what a 'proper' crowd looks like
