Don't think we've ever been out of it really. But then we are 2 points behind Everton! Next home league game is burnley. Must win doesn't even come close. Some luck would be nice against spurs. Much like palace had last night but I doubt it

<laugh> I assume you mean Bony. You have as much chance of landing Bony as I do shagging the entire cast of The Saturdays!

Yes we in a relegation dogfight, the 1st half yesterday was awful, we never tested the dodgy Liverpool defence at all, we start off so slow and ponderous, is the players fault or the manager? we create very little, to me the bottom line is the players are not good enough, Gus must be joking if he thinks we don't need much in this transfer window, we need quality fast or the Championship looms.

What do you suggest from the window? We don't need to make loads of signings. We need a striker. Some pace would be nice (1) and a central defender (2)... That's not a massive amount in my book. We need to drop Gomez. Not quick enough in thought or body. Rid well and Cattermole fit hopefully for Spurs.

What we definitely don't need is hysteria.

There's very little wrong that Poyet isn't aware of, we just need to carefully change the players and everything else will follow on.

It's easy to come on here shouting the odds and looking like you're the dog's bollocks.

I remember people doing that & claiming we were certs for relegation last season.

What happened to all those know alls?

All I am saying is that if as you say Gus knows whats wrong, why do we start of so slow in games and create very little, I agree Gomez is too slow, we need another centre half . a creative midfielder and a striker, I just watched the Man Utd V Southampton game, Why cant we find the players like Southampton do? they are a very good side, they only came up a couple of Seasons ago, they have a great youth system, whats happened to Sunderland youth system, Gus mustn't rate them or he would play some of them, instead we get loans who don't stay.

Newcastle got lucky like Southampton have with their scouting etc. Southampton have great youth system. We have some ok looking players in the reserves but the step between the two is massive. Southampton had lallana shaw etc but a number of them came through while they were in the lower leagues. Easier to chuck a player in when you're in league 1 or the championship Imo. Only time will tell. As smug said.. No hysteria needed. We don't need to be getting rid of the manager as he's building stuff his way. Defensively much better shape than previously. If not for Andre Marriner I honestly believe we'd be a minimum of 4 points better off as well (he refereed Southampton and Hull and missed 3 blatant penalties in those 2 games for us).

Hi Marcus, hope you gig went well, I play in a Merseybeat band in Liverpool, I use a Gibson Les Paul and a Telecaster, we have a few gigs this week, my link with Sunderland is my Father and Forefather all, came from Sunderland, I would recommend a Les Paul a great guitar, I use a Fender Blues Junior for Amplification, we play mainly pubs, I did a tour of the North East in 60's, Hartlepool, Newcastle and Sunderland they were great days.
