Good Morning Everyone, Has Redfearn finally found a formation that works for the team, and will keep Cellino happy? The formation in question is 4 / 2 / 3 / 1. Although only drawing at the weekend at in form Bolton, Leeds more than held their own , creating more goal attempts than the home side. The draw, though a valuable point away from home, does nothing for our prospects of dragging us away from the drop zone. 13 Nottm Forest 25 -2 31 14 Charlton 25 -5 31 15 Huddersfield 25 -9 31 16 Bolton 25 -5 30 17 Reading 25 -10 30 18 Fulham 25 -9 28 19 Brighton 25 -5 26 20 Rotherham 25 -10 26 21 Leeds 25 -11 25 22 Millwall 25 -17 23 23 Wigan 25 -9 20 24 Blackpool 25 -22 17 After the game, Redfearn explained why Doukara and Adryan were dropped from the squad :- "They've got to liven up. They've got to do more. "They've got to do more to get in the team. And if it means they've got to compete and work a bit harder in training, they've got to do it. Nobody's exempt." The gaffer is also aiming to re-invent Sam Byram as an out-and-out winger in the second half of the season, believing the 21-year-old can go through the same transition as Gareth Bale. Byram took up a new position in a 1-1 draw at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday and his convincing display in front of Gaetano Berardi will earn him a run of appearances in a more attacking role.
It is really hard to be positive. We got a draw, the stats I saw indicated they had the bulk of possession, and we didn't score from open play. Zero wins in seven games. Redders decides to play Byram as a winger, you didn't have to be as clever as 60 (sic) to think would be worth a try. However Beradi at rb is going to cost us. He is too ill disciplined. Redders effectively called Adryan a show pony, now who was it castigated me for saying that TWO MONTHS ago.
Morning Glory, Firstly, I like your avatar. Amazing background. Where was that taken? Was about time Redders decided to push Byram up field. I had been saying that for the last month. Neither sides scored from open play, but playing with Morison upfront, is that any wonder?
Morning all, I can't really comment on 4 2 3 1 as I haven't seen how good or poor we look playing it. I did wonder if this is going to be an away from home only formation. How wide did the 3 play? If pushed quite wide then maybe We loaned Ajose out too early? Redfearn is rumoured to want Becchio and Beckford, if he wants both then I can't understand the new formation, surely he wants either one from the two? Talk was that loans and incomings would be swift once Cellino returned, could be an interesting couple of days
I think he has too although I personally would keep him until we know which division we are going to be in, he would certainly have a part to play should we slip into L1
Morning all. Feeling better this Monday after Saturdays performance. As for transfer rumours, as I always say, waste of time worrying whos coming or going till Feb 1st. Then we can assess the damage or strengthening. Who knows, we might even beat Birmingham
Good morning To Matt and co from a very blustery Cote De Bardsey.I thought it was a good point and lets hope we can now stabilise the ship .That result could have a great bearing on Redders future As for Adryan to early to assess his future but he needs to get stronger along with Dawson and Mowatt they are easily dispossed I wonder what new loanees will be through the door this week
Impersonations on not606 that is a first. If he ever realises you too will be part of his stalking activity.
Morning all I'm actually kind of glad Redders had said that about Adryan, because if we do switch to a 4-2-3-1 he would probably have been eyeing the number 10 role as his own. The main issue I see with going with that formation is that we need to establish a good holding mid partnership and not keep changing it. That means it becomes the same as finding a CB partnership, and we know how that goes! As for RB, I'm really glad to see Byram given a chance as an attacking player but Berardi will need to get his temperament in check if he is going to have a run as our first choice. Also, we need to establish a backup to rotate with him as "to go through the same conversion as Bale" Byram needs to be playing as a winger and not being rotated back to a RB when Berardi is suspended or needs a rest.
Or when Berardi covers at LB if we really are allowing Warnock to leave, Lees and Wooton would have been the cover for both.
Morning all Didn't hear/see the game so can't comment on the Formation. On Warnock not surprised he's leaving, Celino did try to kick him out of the door over the summer. As for Ajose let's just wait ans see what happens to him
Warnock move to Derby on hold while his ankle injury is assessed. Derby still hopeful of completing a deal.

You should write for a redtop, Elland. You forgot the rest of the conversation, where we find out that it isn't quite so controversial - see last entry!. You might want to clarify. 6:09 PM - 10 Jan 2015 please log in to view this image Matt Murnaghan @lucasfunkt Jan 10 @LeonWobYP Listening to the interview, no that it not what Redfern was implying. Thanks for the input Leon! 8:16 PM - 10 Jan 201 please log in to view this image leon wobschall @LeonWobYP Jan 10 @lucasfunkt no, nothing to do with fighting, more injuries suffered on pitch was what he was alluding to. Ball in face etc.
