Interesting thing I just picked up from trawling the match reports - Bournemouth are currently the second-highest scorers in Europe behind Real Madrid! (Though obviously the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Barcelona, Bayern) have played fewer matches. Still, impressive. But they have only beaten Brentford in the top six in the Championship.
Also, here's Howson's red card offence: https://vine.co/v/Op9rldTqEjn Difficult to tell how justified the card was from that though.
Looks like he takes the ball clean with his right foot but I can't really see what the left foot is doing. Apparently he was sent off for a two-footed challenge so it is that left foot that is the key to the decision/and or appeal.
Looks like the left leg comes up underneath the other fella and then next to Howson's own right from the momentum of the tackle - and from the refs angle this was all he saw - both legs together = red for him. Very harsh
Ridiculous decision. Its a great tackle. If thats not within the rules, then the game is poorer for it.
Very well taken goal. Not seen Howson's tackle from any other angle. Have to say it didn't look like a red from that view tho good distance away. Fingers crossed for a successful appeal.
Big, big win yesterday and hopefully the confidence from that and the new manager will push us on. Only 8 points from the top so its all to play for. Howsons red does look a bit harsh so hopefully we'll appeal.
Not read all the posts but this win now makes it four from six. Should have won at Derby but 17 goals scored and 13 points is above average form. Just got sloppy at Reading. In fact we've been sloppy against most of the lower half and that's been City's problem.
Damn you Norwich! My Saturday afternoon treat is a snooze with the radio on and right from the beginning, I could sense an upset might be on the cards. As a consequence, I got absolutely no kip. Not a vintage NCFC performance - too many silly errors, but one with real steel, backbone, commitment and togetherness. Today the sun is shining!
Long time lurker, mainly due to having a terrible Internet connection out here but can now follow and comment using iPad over the mobile phone system. Match day threads are an important lifeline!
We have played 5 of the top 6 away now, winning at Bournemouth, Binland and Brentford, drawing at Derby and getting tanked at Boro - our record against the top teams is good and 4 of the top 6 still have to come to Carrow Road. Makes the double failure against Reading all the more galling.
