Yesterday all I could think of was "where's Robert Koren when you need someone to have a decent pop".. it's the Baggies link.. Huddlestone should be in his league for distance shooting but hasn't done it. The guy was different class for actually getting shots on target

Apart from providing the one real genuine attempt on target after winning an aerial challenge with a much bigger defender and following it up. It might well have been all he did but at least it showed some endeavour.

    Spot on.

The few players who are prepared to take a pot shots from outside of the box (including free kicks) seems to always result with the ball in the stands without the keeper even having to make a save.

Figgie & Ince being the latest culprits yesterday (but at least they had a go... I can't remember the last time Quinn or Meyler tried a shot from range)

I'd have to say I'd disagree on both of the examples you gave regarding players played out of position, Livermore looked like a fish out of water at RB and to me Chester doesn't look at all comfortable there either. He's more prone to error there than at CB.

One other thing and it is just one instance I know but it is a particularly notable one in that Deano was originally a centre midfielder (a pretty outstanding one at that) before he was converted to a striker in a similar situation and look how that turned out!

One of the main problems with Sagbo is that he is unfit and rusty - he's hardly played any football and looked knackered after 10 minutes against Arsenal.

Compare his performances to last season and you can see he's capable of performing at this level WHEN FIT. Huddlestone is in the exact same predicament at the moment - massively unfit, but we know he can perform well based on previous performances.

    Look at the old Sagbo:

I think the one player you could play out of position upfront is possibly Harry Maguire - big, strong, will hold a ball up and has good technical ability for a big lad. Can header a ball well from crosses, is a danger in the box and was Sheff Utd's top scorer for a while before we bought him.

Who would support the idea of parking the bus at West Ham? Take a point cos we don't have any strikers

Are any of the strikers in the U21 team worth a try?

Would appreciate elmos heading ability, but who's crossing the ball? Can he do both? Is he that quick?

Have a feeling we will have at least one new addition to the squad by next Sunday if not two, SB knows that if we don't halt the slide and quick,we could be adrift come February

Quinn is a good crosser of the ball and can play on the RW.

Quinn is the most left footed player that ever lived, he definitely couldn't play on the right wing.

Apologies if you were being sarcastic.

Cut adrift ffs. There is only 5 points separating the bottom 9 teams.

There are some right ****ing drama fannies on here

Quite like the idea of sticking Harry up top if we have no new recruits by the weekend

Nope being serious. Like Snodgrass he can cut inside and cross with his left. He could probably do the job...he has the skills.

I have to disagree with you and agree with PLT on Chester, he has looked very classy at RB and he is a quality player. Livermore i was poor at RB but Chester has looked very good since playing there.
