£25 million in cash up front is a good deal for us.

Who needs Bony, we got Gomis <whistle>

Not sour grapes, since I don't have any axe to grind, but I do so hope that neither Chelsea, nor Man.City win the P.L.

I hope Man City do. We get more money ;)

On a serious note, they are everything that is wrong with modern day football.

I'd forego any extra monies to see them slide joyously down the table.
City used to be my second favourite team, but that all changed when the oil money began to flow.
The Man City I knew and admired are long gone.

    I agree
I do miss bouncing up and down the leagues, not having a pot to piss in and a source of great joy for utd fans to take the piss out of,whilst being being pitied as everyone's 2nd favourite team
    It was great

Actually,I never "pitied" City. As already intimated,I admired them. Bell,Summerbee,Lee.Allison,Trautmann,etc. Great players, great teams over a long period.
For sure City slid down the Divisions, and there was no shame in that, but they bounced back without oil money.
They had character and the quality to come back. Something to admire ,respect and hang on to.
Now what do you have? No character,no integrity, just foreign money, which could be withdrawn on a whim.

I agree with you Libertarian. Having money pouring into any club is fine but at what cost? On the upside you should be more successful, winning trophies and so on, but I can't help feeling the nature of the club is changed forever. A completely different character, somehow. The fans' reaction to recent takeover rumours here seems to suggest most Swans fans agree with that.

We are not that many points behind some clubs that have spent ridiculous amounts of money and pay stupid wages to their players, and for what? An extra few places in the Prem. I'd rather stay as we are thank you very much.

Guys, for Man city it could be Accrington Stanley and if Mansoor had bought them they would be top of the PL. I was hoping Bony would either go abroad or Chelsea because at least for this season we wouldn't see him back at The liberty in a blue shirt.

Although a huge amount of money I get the feeling we've been shafted ... again.
IMO, excluding Joe Allen, we have not capitalised on our assets.
