I'm thinking terminate his contract if they try and send him back. Mind you if someone wants to sign Ched Evans then there's hope for at least a few quid for that twat.
http://www.football-italia.net/60882/osvaldo-set-leave-inter Sounds like Inter want rid. He really needs anger management classes...always believes he is right and takes others mistakes as personal affronts. Apparently Inter want to sell him...nice if true, but regrettably he isn't theirs to sell.
Talking about hand gestures, the non-British Saints players occasionally make the odd interesting hand gesture when arguing a decision from the referee. Obviously, Jose Fonte, as Captain, shows us a few. The other day I was watching a replay and he did a classic Jose Fonte hand gesture while arguing with the referee about what he was going to award when Gardos brought down Sanchez just in front of the penalty area. It was like this: both hands held out with straight fingers and the thumbs tucked in but also straight. Then, in the gesture, he brings them down to waste level and close to his body, with his fingers still straight but bent at the first knuckle, thumbs still tucked in. I haven't a clue what he's emphasising when he makes the gesture, but he's done it loads of times over the years. It's obviously a Portuguese one. Incidentally, when the ref held up a yellow card he immediately turned away and got into position. It was like turning off his beseeching switch.
He was afraid it was going to be a red card...in fact, like us, he probably recognised that it should have been a red card...so his beseeching look is obviously dynamite (it would be with me....I might actually let Fonte escape ).
Actually, as mentioned at the time, I thought the ref made the correct decision. Still do. I'm not interested in the look that Jose gives [I know you are]. It's the gesture he makes. It's very definite and quite interesting to those who watch body language. Besides, I can't be the only one who has noticed it. He's done it dozens of times over the years.
You mean that every time he believes the ref has made a major blunder he invites him to do a twirl..?
The gesture you describe sounds like the Portuguese gesture used to emphasise 'lots of'. In the context of Fonte's use, it could mean 'lots of fouls' or 'lots of decisions against us'. Who knows?
Without counting them specifically, my perception is that this season we are in credit with decisions for us.
Cheers. Seems a good enough explanation. If I ever see any isolated footage of Jose doing it, I'll bump this topic.
Sunderland allegedly interested in Osvaldo if he gets sent back to UK. I'd actually be quite happy if he planted one on Poyet.
