That may be one of the worst performances I've ever seen from a professional sports team. Absolute embarrassment. No shape, desire, tactics, effort... the list goes on. Every time we got the ball it was lofted aimlessly forward, mis controlled or simply passed out of play. Can anyone genuinely say anyone came out of that game with any credit. I want to know exactly what the players are doing in training, where is the mental strength, awareness, tactical discipline? Every time i watch the training clips on facebook its shooting practice, and Redknapp is never there.. Its GOT to change. Credit to Burnley, should have been 4 or 5 and they had everything we didnt. Perhaps that's because they have a manager who knows what he is doing in the modern game. So angry at this, watching your team should be fun, this was a disgrace.
it was utter, utter ****e don't get me wrong but it's one turd in a sea of ****e at the moment so can't say its the worst we've seen.
Redknapp is a dinosaur. My lad's U16s have more tactically aware training sessions than those put on by our out of touch twats from what I've seen of them. I really do despair.
Can't agree with the OP. Okay we're emotional at losing yet again but we weren't that bad. I've seen us play far worse than that. Don't start panicking FFS. We're 3 points off 12th place
If you think that's the worse we've played even this season then it must be the first game you've watched! We weren't great and defended poorly for both goals but have been far worse this season!!
You seriously thought that was the worst performance you've ever seen? Madness. We were far from good but we weren't as bad as is being made out.
'The worst ever' was reference to our away record, sorry! That's not the worst I've seen us play (£60 on Spurs away has that honour)
I have seen us play worse this year and win. It was not that bad. It was bad. But we have been worse. We hit the bar. Their keeper made three saves from shots. Fer was atrocious and does not give a **** about us however the thing that let us down was the lack of a plan. Fer is a middle player. He was played on the left wing and then for no good reason in the first half - switched to the left wing.... he keeps drifting inside to the middle. This is an issue of shape. At the end - we had 4 strikers on and no shape at all. The players clearly had no idea who to pass to. We seemed to have enough possession in the last 20 mins to get level or even win it but there was not plan. No shape. No captain on the pitch to marshall and not plan being given from the side. I have no idea what shape we were supposed to be playing. It looked like 'get out there and have a good game lad's' type advice vs reading the game. They were awful. We should have won this game. With McClaren in charge of the same team - we would have 3 points today.
I was at the 5-0 at Forest circa 2009 and the 5-0 at Southend. Both 100x worse than that but with a squad on 1/100th the wage.
