Sorry, I mentioned Hillsborough once ....

The calls for Gordon Taylor to resign are sadly typical of the 'Hillsborough Nazis' who rush to attack anyone who dares to even mention the word. It's reached a ridiculous point when anyone referring to the tragedy is immediately pounced on and vilified.
No doubt Taylor will be nailed to the cross of Liverpool hate figures and never removed.

It shows the victims no respect in my opinion.

Yes, the comparison was unnecessary, and a little clumsy, but Taylor wasn't claiming the two things we're identical, simply saying that the full facts, in both cases, are not entirely known at this stage. That's all, he isn't saying that the suffering is in any way comparable but that both are football related.

Unless the Liverpool people, who perpetrate these vendettas, display a more reasonable attitude they're in danger of appearing attention seeking and perpetual victims. They also need to accept that whatever fault lies in others, in this sad case, the fact remains that if some of their own hadn't pushed, in the first place, the game would be remembered as just another semi final.

Part of the blame lies with those who contributed to the problems on that fateful day.
Attacking Taylor for a harmless comment is just part of the smoke-screening process in my view.

One is about entering without permission, and the other, oh wait a minute....

I've been in similar situations with Sunderland, including Cardiff away, when there were thousands trying to get in and the gates went.
If anyone had been injured, or worse, I'd have been partly responsible and accepted it.

Liverpool supporters, in that era, were always boasting about getting into grounds by whatever means 'necessary'.
Yet we're expected to believe that, in this case, not one Liverpool supporter was drunk, badly behaved, ticket-less or attempting to get into the ground in whichever way they could.

He done nowt wrong in my opinion. He just used Hillsborough as an example that the law can make mistakes. The overreaction to this is crazy..

The media are being ridiculous about it. Saw a headline on Bruce sticking his oar in. Which when you actually read the details is because he is mates with the Oldham Chairman and is a non story. Rather than Bruce "defending" a rapist.

Part of me hopes his appeal is successful. Then his lawyer can make some real money!

 

My dig was that he based his comments on his mates assessment of the case notes instead of his own. Just shows how stupid the man is imo. Such a sensitive subject and he's basing his opinion on somebody elses opinion. All this talk of trial by Twitter, Bruce is using an even bigger platform to push his milk fed opinions. Weather he's right or wrong is subject to debate. He just has no class what so ever and that was my dig.

 

Bruce is a daft bellend for getting drawn into it all! Why would you?

 

Is the Hillsboro disaster in danger of becoming the scouse equivalent of Prophet Mohammed to the Muslims, it may not be referred to or used in any context other than the disaster itself.

They are going to have all of the coals raked over time and time again until someone is deemed culpable and you know what, the dead will still be dead, it will not bring them back.
