Words genuinely cannot describe how happy I am at this return. I hated not "supporting" the club I love and am happy now return to the stadium to support the BLUEBIRDS!!!
Unfortunately Bluey, "not being against" the rebrand is seen by many as tantamount to being for it. True to say it was no one's choice other than Tan, and at a stroke he put half the supporters against him despite the financial lifelines he threw us. If he hadn't done that one single thing, he'd be thought of in a much different light this past couple of years. I'm so glad the guy has seen sense and gone back on his beliefs (I won't say caved in) in an attempt to repair the undoubted damage he's done to the spirit within the club and it's supporters.
sparks spot on>>>>>>>>>tan made a stupid mistake and im hoping this has been laid 2 bed and he can finally get the hand shakes he deserves from us city boys .......
We can all rejoice in a victory for football today. Congratulations to those who campaigned for what was right and a big 'well done' to Tan too.
I wouldnt say he deserves handshakes dude. He has reversed the damage he never should have created in the 1st place. If he starts taking the supporters feelings and thoughts on board, then he will be deserving of handshakes. I respect him for returning to blue and FINALLY realizing he was rapidly losing fans, but damage has been done and it will take time to fix the bridges he has burnt. He has started fixing well though lol
Sorry Jay, but I disagree. He's made a massive concession to the fans at the club that will be seen as a recognition of his bad decision. His statement to the fans on the official site is a very humble one and I think the vast majority will put this all to bed straight away because of it.
Agreed. We should all now move forward. Hopefully the atmosphere in the stadium will now improve, starting tomorrow with the team in blue.
Quite frankly Sparks I couldn't give one what others think. I'm not going over old ground but many of the pro-blue protagonists (not all I grant you and certainly not the vast majority on this board) did not have the intelligence to see the bigger picture. Would they really have been more happy for us to be in Div. 2, the Conference or even worse? I'm delighted we are going back to blue and even more delighted that this will re-unite our club so we can all focus on the common aim of supporting the team. I'm sure some out there still want to pick holes and criticise what and how it's been done and VT's statement but the bottom line is that the majority have their wish so let's all move on and, as one, get behind the team. If nothing else that will be one less excuse if the team still can't perform.
I`d shake his hand for making right the wrong he caused.....it takes a big man 2 admit he`s wrong and this shows he knew he got it wrong if you ask me>>>>>>>>>>>>and for that I will shake his hand if I ever see him im back on board again and I know a lot of lads who will do the same thing
Aber Got a spare in the family stand.. As my boy has been grounded..More than welcome dude.. Will bring the Hip flask with JD init, and the smoked salmon and caviar sarnies if one starts to feel peckish. Blue is the colour, football is the game, were all together and winning is our aim, so cheer us on through the sun and rain, coz Cardifff, yes Cardiff is our name (sorry for nicking a very old Chelsea song, however it is appropriate given the circumstances) Now if there is not a full house tomorrow there is surely something wrong.
A victory for common sense and fan power. I shall now change my pessimistic prediction for tomorrow's game
I see your point Spark, but we know what the bloke is capable of. He is clearly an impulse thinker (not always a bad thing) and can easily lead us all down the garden path again. As I said, he has started building bridges in the right way. Long may it continue.
IMO You've got to respect Tan for being enough of a man/business man to make what is for him a MASSIVE u turn. He's been portrayed as some sort of mental crack pot bond villain by the media (and a huge section of our support). I've never seen it. Whether you like his decisions or not they've all had an explainable logic behind them. It's fantastic news, I'm very much on Whoops wavelength that it wasn't a make or break deal on the shirts for me but the division and therefore atmosphere in the stands was horrible. I'm sure we'll stay up playing in blue as the atmosphere will improve beyond all recognition. With that home advantage will hopefully become more of a factor. It won't cover up the massive midfield issues we have but that really is a conversation for another day now. Last time I was this excited about going to see us play I was heading with my wife and 2 girls to Wembley for the league cup final! That's a ****ing big turn around from how I felt about us on Monday
I'm glad to see you guys finally get to play in blue at home again. It's a good decision and hopefully it will unite your fanbase and allow the club to thrive again. Good luck all of you.
