HAPPY SMILY FACES? Sounds as though a return to blue is imminent then, so expect Fulham to receive a thwacking as a kind of celebration at the weekend. Six goals or more!
Hope this is the start of a reconciliation between the fans and Tan - a united CCFC will be an awesome beast indeed! All the best lads!
For some reason this development puts me in mind of a children's story called 'A Squash and a Squeeze'.
I think the decision is inevitable Masky, Blue it will be, but the badge will remain the same. I just cannot wait for all this in fighting to stop, especially amongst the supporters, some of the 'We will always be blue' mob have shown themselves to be little more than bullies during the last few months, aka, Bournemouth away, chucking golf balls at people wearing the red shirt in the Nininan stand etc. Forgive and forget, not in this instance NO. We still have lots of scumbags who follow the club.
Twil always will be thus with most football clubs. When my two great, aunts, Hilda and Elise, went to see the 1927 players parade the cup in the town, they came back home having had their eyes opened, somewhat: "there were some very rough young men there, mother," the said, when they got home...
Havent got any colour shirt Snlk, will you still want Tan out when it reverts back to blue ? Thing is to be replaced by Who ?
Sounds like its Blue at 2 today. Good news and hope it's true Bloody hell I am sounding like a poet! The question is will it make any difference to Slade's approach and tactics?
Just announced on Sky Sports that the home kit is changing back to blue, in talks with the Football League so we can wear it tomorrow!
It's been agreed we can wear it tomorrow and for the remainder of the season!! BLOOOOOOOOBIRDS!! From WOL Tan’s statement also confirmed: * Cardiff will wear blue, not red, for their home matches throughout the 2015-16 campaign as well * The club crest will have a prominent bluebird on it as the dominant image * Season ticket prices will be reduced for those outside the five-year price freeze. Those who have been on the price freeze deal will see what the club call a minimal increase.
Ronnie for god sake he bullied us into changing our fking colours for what reason other than some goof ball idea by some billionaire >>>>>>>now you may be ok doing anything for his money but im not the same as you and it seems thousands of like minded Cardiff fans like myself agree......its blue or fk all. tell me Ronnie whats the point in following something that's doesn't exists anymore>>>>>>>>>be jesus (excuse the pun)......if he(tan) admits he got it wrong then happy days we will start 2 flock into the club again....... but if he doesn't admit his mistake then a club without its fans isn't a club at all, we will lose our club anyway so don't fall for his bully boy bollocks if he ditches us and the club goes bust then so fking be it ps didn't the boys get arrested for throwing golf balls at fellow fans in the ground>>>>>>>if not why...but yes I agree Ronnie that this kind of action shouldn't be carried out just because of a football game but it only takes one person 2do this for another man 2 blame a thousand.
fking great news>>>>>>>>>>>Ronnie any room around you for me season ticket next season .......only joking dude im hoping the next stage is getting the terraces back>>>>>>but that's another story BLUE FKING BIRDS <YEAH BOY> CARTOON YA MAN WE BE BACK WITH EW SOONER THAN DAI THINKS <
While I was not against the rebrand and changes, this has got to be good news which will hopefully unify the club and fans. Will Ali be allowed to say "Bloooobirds" in his pre-match bit tomorrow? I hope so.
Full Tan statement: The Christmas and New Year period has given me time to reflect on the events of the last year. Spending time with my family had a profound effect upon me. My mother, Madam Low Siew Beng, a devout Buddhist, who attended Cardiff City Football Club to watch them play, spoke to me on the importance of togetherness, unity and happiness. Cardiff City Football Club is important to me and I wish to see it united and happy. With the guidance, blessing and influence of my mother, I asked my Chairman, Mehmet Dalman and Chief Executive Officer, Ken Choo for their advice and to consult with a good cross-section of the fan base. This meeting took place last night, when some seventy representatives of our supporters were present. My thanks and gratitude to those who gave up their evening and time to be there. I am informed that this was a very productive and frank exchange of views, but all with the same objective to strengthen our Club. These views were also added to by a large number of emails that were sent to the Club over the last 24 hours from our wider supporter base. To paraphrase John F. Kennedy, “Let us never compromise out of fear. But let us never fear to compromise.” My wish is to unite and make the Club successful and in order to achieve this I fully support the Board’s decision to implement the following changes: 1. Starting from Saturday, 10 January 2015 and until the end of this season, our home kit shall be Blue. Our Away Kit shall be Red. I would like to thank the Football League for their approval to facilitate my request. 2. For the 2015/16 season, Cardiff City’s home kit colour shall be Blue. Our Away Kit colour shall be Red. 3. The Club badge will be redesigned to reflect the dominance of the Bluebird, while celebrating the proud history and heritage of the Club. I also wish to incorporate elements representative of my culture and beliefs, which I hope are respected. 4. As the Chairman has explained, the debt to equity resolution is not straightforward. We will deal with this in due course, with all decisions made in the best interest of the Club. 5. For the 2015/16 Season, Non Price Freeze Season Tickets will be reduced and Price Freeze Season Tickets shall be adjusted accordingly to match these prices. I very much hope these steps will bring unity, success and happiness to our Club. The challenge ahead for us is enormous and I truly believe we will overcome these obstacles as a united Club. I believe with divine blessings, Cardiff City Football Club will achieve great success. Warm regards Vincent Tan Chee Yioun
Aber. I don't think Tan has to admit he has made a mistake. The fact he has reversed his earlier decision is proof enough. I was one that wasn't as bothered as most about the shirt colour; my prime concern has always been finance and the future of the club. However, the fact the issue was dividing the fan base was sufficient for me to applaud his decision to revert to blue. Hopefully we can now concentrate on moaning about football..........and there is plenty to complain about.
