Congrats, everyone, we have officially arrived: there are now spurious rumours of us triggering the overinflated release clauses of superstars-to-be.

 

I really hope we can pull this off. Would be a major major signing.

 

But where in the side does he fit. We don't really play with a traditional number 10. Seems unnecessary...

He'd probably work behind the striker in a 3-5-2, or we could tweak the 4-3-3 to allow for a freer central role. Ultimately really doesn't matter; spending that money on a single player is nuts unless you i) have no other positions of need or ii) have 100m burning a hole in your pocket. We don't really fit either category, and we aren't nuts, so yeah.

 

Ron has already said that we are more interested in a loan. Perhaps won't suit his club, but 5 months in the PL won't harm the player.

 

Strewth....... we are a jittery lot. I can understand why......We have taken a hiding over the years from the so called bigger clubs after our better players. After the **** we had to put up with at the end of the last season was enough to make any team jittery.
It is up to the club to sort this out once and for all. I still get the impression the players think they have the upper hand as to the clubs dealings with the bigger clubs.
As for RK if the club is true to its latest words on the subject " we are not a selling club" the same will apply to him and he will know that. Barca or any other club can go take a running jump. The only thing probably in his contract to be wary of is if his country comes a-callin'.

The title of this piece really pisses me off....it says that Arsenal have good news having been given the green light to sign Morgan. Now reading that you might think they meant by Saints, but no they mean by Spurs pulling out of the pursuit. I guess this is an example of click bait...well, it worked.


Second issue and this refers to so many people writing on the internet. A free rein is written REIN as in what you use to direct a horse.....a horse given a free rein can go where it likes. It is not REIGN as in what a king or queen does.

Thought it was in euros not pounds, 32 mil euros is still a big chunk of change even when it has tanked over the last few weeks. Morgan is almost off in the summer, even if we get top 4 in my opinion, Quintero would be seen as the replacement

Yeah and plus the fact Schneiderlin is a holding midfielder and Quintero is a attacking one.
