Really?? I hope this doesn't mean we are selling De Gea. I've never rated Valdes as a number 1 for a top side, he was always dodgy for Barca. I hope he is only gonna be a number 2 for us

 

De Gea is going nowhere.

 

I've never rated Valdes but I rate Lindegaard even less. The number 2 keeper needs to be competent. Look at Liverpool. They have two **** number two keepers.

Never rated Valdes at all.

 

I'm starting to worry that De Gea is going to be sold to Madrid. 18 months left on his contract, and he hasn't signed a new one. We've now signed Valdes, and we're linked with Tim Krul now too. You could say LVG is planning for life without De Gea.

I can't imagine Valdes with all his medals signed with the intentions of just being a number 2.

Madrid are already pretty formidable, and with a goalkeeper that saves a lot more than most others, they would be even stronger, and almost impossible to beat

Bit of an outdated cliche. All the best keepers around nowadays are under 30.

 

If De Gea does not sign a new contract by May I'd be seriously worried.

We should just throw the chequebook at him, 150K per week if that's what it takes to sign a 5 year contract.

 

Valdes is a much better GK then given credit for if he was no good Barcelona would have bought a better keeper in. The only team that have a better number 2 then us now is Chelsea with Cech.

I think that is more of a coincidence than anything. Even only a few years ago there where plenty of good ageing keepers like Van Der Sar who was still class at 40. Buffon is still playing really well too, and he's knocking on a little.

Most goalkeepers shouldn't be over the hill at 33 IMO
