At one point they wanted To pay 25 now and possibly 5 later ....we countered with a sell on clause ...they countered with unhappiness ...lol
I don't think Spurs or more importantly Levy will come anywhere near our valuation , he'll throw in some of his dead wood ,whether that includes Carroll I'm not sure ,as good as Tom is and likely to be we could lose out finically in this sort of deal .I'd prefer if we have to sell is to get the money (in full) and test the water with the smell of the readies
Chelsea's " Russian" money is the ticket .They will win The League with him imo .Surprisef they haven't stuck their nose in yet .
I want to see a fee up front without any add ons, Man City can afford this. The problem is how dissatisfied will Bony be if we pull out when he appears to have been offered such a large wage and the chance to play in the champion's league.
But other reports are suggesting that he wants £200,000k and Man City won't budge. But as you say, £30 million in cash up front, or they can bugger off
Bony just been interviewed at Airport by SSN reporter. Very guarded with his agent more upbeat. Stated he would like to play Champions League but declared that he not had any medical or spoken to City himself. Agent reckone D de
Bony is a product and though we should respect his wishes the club has to come first. It was not us that mentioned his wages or champions league after all it was man city using underhanded tactics to unsettle bony. Bony may not even get a game in the champions league with the players they already have anyway.....Bony i feel sorry for as he is stuck in the middle but at the end of the day he is still a swans player and we have to look after ourselves first ...
This could be a ploy from City so we don't shop him to Chelsea or elsewhere vigorously because in the end City can't do the deal and knew they couldn't from the start .And like nosugar says , pretty hard to keep Bony here and happy after the carrot has been dangled . How would you feel making 50 thousand a week while saving us game after game while Gomis makes 80 thousand whinging from the bench.Time to approach Chelsea and others imo and City will quickly take him , if they are honestly wanting him
Only 50,000 per week , poor dabs .I know how I'd feel I do like this comment from his agent" There had been some suggestions that Bony's exit would be confirmed today, although Swansea have said all along that no transfer package has been agreed as yet. When asked about the hold-up, Kacou added: "It's not good to talk about that, but it's about small details about money. "But I think things will go all right in a few days. I am flying with him (Bony) to Abu Dhabi so let's see what happens." At the end of it all it is only about the money !!
Youd be dancing even better being Gomis. If the deal falls through for Bony , , offer Bony 100, 000 a week on principle alone and maybe he'll stay ...happily
How about we sell Gomis for £mn7 and pay Bony his wages as well - he's already at least twice the player Gomis ever will be.
Seems to be an awful lot of guesswork in the media as regards wages at City. When the Barca duo came they changed how the contracts were given and the basic wages were relatively small but heavily incentivised. When Navas signed last season it was reported on the official site as a 5 year contact with a minimum £40k weekly wage and all the main players are now tied down on renewed 5 year contracts, apart from Milner, who's yet to put pen to paper. So I think a pinch of salt can be taken with Bony looking for £200k a week, just as much as the usual reporting of lampards £180k week pay packet
I can't see Man City paying anything until he comes back from the Africa Cup free from injury - so if they are going to buy him they'll stall until the end of the transfer window. I'm happy to forget about this for now and look to see players coming in to fill the positions we'll all been talking about for months.
Let's get canny. Surely City have some young players like Barrow or Carrol, perhaps some full backs. Could pick up some gems as we are prone to do. Lower the upfront cash a bit, say £25 m, and throw in a couple of players. They must have loads of talent that will never make it into their first team realistically, but could get a chance in a club like ours.
