Would guess that Dzeko or Jovetic would be most under threat in the City squad if/when they sign Bony.

And buyout clauses are relevant for the big Portuguese teams as they tend to sell their players for massive prices as they don't need the money (Porto more so than the others). Only exceptions to this are if the player has been a flop and they are looking to offload them. Don't know much about Quintero so not sure which category he falls into.

He looked useful from the little I saw of him during the world cup though, bought on to make something happen but maybe a bit of a luxury player. Could do a similar role for us, coming on for Davis if we need a goal, although not sure a subsitute role is what he is after or what his fee/wages would justify.

Tim Vickery has just been on talkSport and was gushing about the quality of our prospective target Quintero but did add that he thought he was too good for a club like us and that he would be surprised if one of the Big Boys didn't pick him up as he feels is able to play at the top end of competetion.

Who's the team interested in Clyne?

 

Big risk at 20mil pounds, the boy has talent but was maybe hyped too soon too young. Lovely range of passes and great with the ball at his feet, but no more than Morgan and Morgan adds that physical side as well. Many may say that he is a no10 style of player, but he is a player for the position of Morgan. If a loan could be sorted then we should snap their hand off.

 

If Clyne goes to Liverpool, he's an idiot. He's got 1 year left so not sure we'll get much for him in the Summer.

 

I'd like to think he'll sign a new contract soon, even if it has a £20m release clause in it. Bony did similar with Swansea last summer. Way of repaying the club put potentially giving the player what he wants in the long term/not shutting the door on a transfer to a big club. He must still be on quite a modest wage.
