    Cancelled contract apparently... whether that means a pay out I'm not too sure

    Good luck to him though, there was a decent player in there somewhere and hope he goes and makes a decent career for himself somewhere. Apparently odds on to go back & sign for Coventry before the weekend.

    I doubt there will be in this case, noubs has said he wants to go, so he will probably be happy to tear it up and shake hands and say goodbye.

    Good Luck big Frank.

    Always thought he seemed like a decent bloke - a pity it didn't work out for him.

    Good luck to him, one of the most honest players we have had, but sadly his ability didn't match that, he had his moments, but it was his inconsistent play that was his Achilles heel

    Striker Frank Nouble’s Town contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.

    So he was owed his money until June, we will have probably paid him 60% in one lump sum upfront to save some wages. Mutual consent means a package is agreed by both parties.

    That package doesn't have to include a payment though Westy.

    Anyway, good luck Frank, maybe you can help fire Coventry back into the championship.

    Of course we've paid Frank Nouble a fee! He had a contract that was valid until June, on say £1500 a week. He's not exactly going to turn around and say " Yeah sure Ipswich, you don't want me to stay, I am going to rip up the contract and take £0.00. "

    However, it won't be 100% of his wages so it helps us. Good move all around. Good luck for the future, failed low risk gamble. 6'4, built like a brick s*** house, quick, strong, he really has all the attributes to succeed elsewhere if he wants it enough. Young enough too.

    Hypothetical Westy.
    If he wanted to join Coventry in January maybe he just agreed to get out now instead of waiting to become a free agent and taking the risk of not having a club.
    I agree he probably got something but you know as much as I do for definite about what happened.

    It's not hypothetical San Diego. Not one person in their right mind with a legally binding contract, that would guarantee themself X amount of money for six months, is going to say " yeah don't worry guys keep the ££££ it's alright " - of course he'll take the dosh!!! We save some wages, win win.

    It's going to be the same with Wordsworth + Taylor I'd imagine, sorting out a settlement package.

    Thanks anyway Frank for some decent times, two goals vs Premier League Palace springs to mind.

    Actually, for a bit of fun, ( and I do not know the answers ) who else did Frank score for with us? !

    Think he scored against Blackburn.

    If he had a Three year contract on the table at Cov. Then I can understand him agreeing to terminate his Ips. contract to gain the longer term deal.

    Frank....Hey, if you don't need me here I would love to join Coventry this month
    ITFC.....You can leave now for nothing if you like
    Frank....But I'm still owed some wages
    ITFC....If you want them you can play with our reserves until June
    Frank....But I want to join a new club now
    ITFC....Well you can leave now for nothing if you like
    Frank....But what about my contract?
    ITFC....You can stay with us until June if you want your wages
    Frank....But..........

    Do you see where I'm going with this?
    There are plenty of scenarios where a player would forfeit his wages to make a change of club, and secure himself a new contract. Would you want to risk becoming a free agent in the current marketplace?

    Hypothetical my friend, unless you can prove otherwise.

    Crikey we can argue about this till the cows go home. Coventry would have encouraged him to settled up with us, so they could offer him a lower deal. He's entitled to some ££££ so we've given it him, we've saved sorted. Infact, we've probably paid him quite a low %%%% if he's keen to go play footy.

    So goal wise then!
    * Palace x 2
    * Blackburn x 1
    * Coventry x 1?!

    How many players contracts have we settled up?! Taylor/ Wordsworth will be next, that's going to cost quite a lot of ££££.

    Yep, you're right old pal, we could keep discussing this forever as you've still not proved anything.
    Just like me, everything you've said is pure guesswork.
    By the way, I'm not arguing with you mate, just offering a counter view to create discussion <ok>
