I'm bored of it now. The announcements should have been left until the summer. Stupid really.

Steven Gerrard's birthday falls on the same day as the FA Cup final.
What a cracking send off it would be if someone could get him a ticket.

Just read that he would have signed a new contract if they had offered in the summer presumably before the biter went. Yeah right.

Just listening to the radio this morning, about 5-ish, still almost asleep, driving into London, and some of the discussion was suspicious about the whole thing. As long as he's scoring goals, as he will do, the fans are gonna create holy hell. Maybe he's after a player-coaching position, and is still hopeful of staying with the right sort of contract.

That was the general gist anyway.

The whole chat about Winston Reid boiled my piss to be honest. He's an alright defender who reckons he can do better for himself and cause he might end up at a "big club" all the commentators are fawning over him and talking about him when they run out of stuff to say about Gerrard. Absolute ****e the way they go on in general. Have to say I do like the wee box showing the actual football BT Sport have when you get the obligatory ten seconds of close up of player/manager reaction after anything at all happens. Anyone else find Skys love of a classic Mourinho close up for ages when the match is going on frustrating?

Honestly all this talk of Gerrard is quite frankly ****e. It's a local news story at best. He no longer represents England and he didn't cover himself in glory when he did. Is he anyone's favourite England player? I doubt it. He wouldn't make my top 10. Typical hysterical media coverage of a media boosted club. The media invest in certain teams and the cycle goes on. Sickening in my eyes.
As for BT sports I wouldn't watch it for free! It will be one eyed biased commentary and punditry from the off. No thanks. I'd rather pull my own ear drums out.
It would be interesting to see how much TV money has unbalanced the league in favour of the Media loved clubs of MAn Utd, CHlsea, Liverpool, arsenal and City.
We are a mere afterthought and it has gotten worse as the years have gone on. If the top 4 are ever on and Am watching I'm always routing for the underdog. Just to see the twats faces looking glum in the commentary box. ****ers

The Gerrard stuff is pathetic, they'll get dumped out of the cup as soon as they come up against any half decent side and he'll be 'playing for the kop' for the rest of the season. The final day will be him in tears waving at the kop as they all sing 'Steve Gerrard, Gerrard' at him.

Commentators **** non-stop over him because he is 'Mr Liverpool' it's ****ing pathetic, his highlight reel is second to none but he's far from this perfect player they all think he is. Lampard is far better than he is and barring one or two seasons he always has been.

I cringe when this chump is even mentioned in the same sentence as Charlton, Scholes or Robson.

The Beeb showed Wenger doing up his coat for afew minutes. Funny as it is, save it for youtube.

And as for Gerard, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. At one point he was part of a midfield with Alonso and Mascherano. They went on to bigger and better things, why not him...
