Due to the generosity of all involved and some late donations, we've still some money in the pot. There's also a couple of groups that may donate depending on where it's going as they already donate to some.

My suggestion is that we come up with a few more similar banner ideas, and ask if maulled1904 can work his magic. Once we decide on designs, I suggest we give the designs and the cash to the club, so they can get the right sizes for the spaces they have available.

The aim has always been to show support for the team and to try and leave the politics to the other groups.

    So;
    1. Do people agree to the money going on banners? (any other suggestions welcomed)
    2. Do people agree to Maulled1904 designing?
    3. Do people agree with the final sizes and orders being left with the club (assuming they accept) ?

    4. All the above aside, any thoughts on a banner?

I realise this is possibly political currently, but what about one with just the Tigers head and/or 'burning bright" or "mauled" written on?

I'd make any others ones that can be lasting. No players/managers. No 1 904 club badges.

Maybe mauled could whip one up with Assem Allams face on a toads body?

I fancied banners to match chants. A sureal one with "This is the Hull Flag" on for when we sing "keep the Hull flag flying high". One of my favourite chants falls over on too many angles, but a banner with "I'd rather be a tiger than a ****" appeals to me as a reply to some of the pithy barracking we've had from away fans that haven't grasped the name change issue.

"We support our local team" has posibilites? We could add pictures of the characters from the League of Gentlemen..isn't it written by Hull lads?

An earlier suggestion was Bruce as the Hulk, with "Bruce Banner" written on it.

I definitely didn't donate towards a flag with just a ****ing tigers head on it.

I'd quite like a 'Hull City Of Culture' one.

I thought the 'Bruce Banner' one was fairly funny.

That's okay, I used your money on the "Steve Bruce" banner. <ok> <laugh>

A Hull City of Culture one could work well. Any suggestions for a lay out?

From our songs my suggestions would be "We all follow a black and amber team" and "she'll be coming round the mountain". I think flags of old players would look good as well. I know its very Chelsea but I was thinking more about EDG Wright (not many club's players get a mention in a history of the German national team), Patrick O'Connell and Raich Carter. All legends and non-controversial.

We could save a lot of dosh if we adopt the afc Wimbledon way, some very imaginative and colourful paintings at last nights game.

Hull, City of Culture 2017 would be a good one.

    Ebenezer Cobb Morley?

    Hull Tigers? Anyone, anyone...

    I like that idea.

    Hull
    City of Culture
    Birthplace of football.

With a picture of Ebeneezer, assuming we can find one where he doen't look like old man Steptoe.

Nah nah nah nah, He's from 'ull, Ebenezer's from 'ull.

Glad you like my idea. Are you going to steal it and claim it as your own? My boss does that all the time.

Despite my previous post, I think something like this could be good.

Obviously just a quickly knocked up rough image but you get the drift.

I think that we might be limited on the picture options, as far as I'm aware, the Steptoe image is the only one of him that exists.

A City of Culture reference would be excellent if the dictator allows it. As would a nod to EC Morley. Something classy like that, none of the tacky tiger themed crap. The club have got that covered anyway.

If any player is honoured it should be Ashbee.

As far as I know, nobody is actually sure if the images are him, other than the Steptoe one.

Some of them are definitely wrong, one of the ones that comes up(the one with the big tashe) is actually Alcock, who created the FA Cup and is just wrongly credited as Cobb Morely in a newspaper article.
