Agree about booing but if you name is Jim and you were repeatedly called Rupert wouldn't you be miffed?

'If the business case for changing the name is sound' - it isn't, which negates everything else she's said.

She probably only wrote that nonsense to get out of doing the ironing.

Love it.........Peddler of tacky retro clothing claims qualified lawyer specializing in Commercial Law would be better off ironing than passing comment on the legal details involved in a Football Club changing it's name.

Where's that **** of the Month Thread?

I'll challenge tacky, I've got some of his gear that's about 10 years old and still looks and fits like new.

And what does her being a lawyer have to do with it? Her specialty is laws, not the marketing of premier league football clubs.

I don't peddle retro clothing Strov, I'm afraid you're a little behind the times.

As you're obviously happy for personal info to be posted, what do you do for a living?

I'm interested in your qualifications with regard to marketing brands?

You've posted 12 times in the past three months, once to vote Dawson MotM against Man United, once with a link to the HDM about how pissed off Ehab is with HCC and ten snide remarks aimed at CTWD.

    Your scope seems rather limited.

An average of less than one comment a week on CTWD, because they are not that relevant or important in the grand scheme of things old lad. Sorry to disappoint.

I seem to remember Dawson having an outstanding game against United and thought he was well worthy of the MotM vote.

Sharing links is usually done to instigate debate and people can comment or not comment as they wish. If some people only wish to contribute on an occasional basis I'm not the sort of person to use that as a stick to beat them with. I have something brown and sticky for that job. It's a stick.

My activity and scope on this board is rather limited as you correctly pointed out, but to be honest with you OLM most of the stuff posted on here lately bores me to death. I fully understand that people are passionate about the football club we all love but reading this forum does not fan the flames of that passion, quite the opposite in fact.

I think it was a shame that the arbitration was put back because we could all do with closure on this. Whilst you have already declared victory in heroically saving the clubs name, I'm going to wait a while for the official verdict from the FA. I will not be attending as many games as I used to in the meantime and I doubt I will be posting much either. As always, time will tell. I know it's getting harder and harder to do all the time, but Keep The Faith people.

Sad how a bitter and petulant old man's tantrum has led fans of the same club to be points scoring and bickering amongst each other.

I said he could get his money back if we are relegated if he wanted it back. He makes a profit from the sale of our squad, the parachute payments, reducing the players wages and accepting like every other championship club that he needs to break even because of the fair play rules.

I'm surprised you think that waiting more than 10 years for a man in his seventies is quickly.

If we stay in the premier league for 10 years then he stands a much better chance of getting his money back in 10 years. He depends on whether he or his family want it back.

Only you think I've worded it like he's some sort of chancer. He's a hard headed businessman that invested in the squad to get us promoted and then used the Premier league money to try and keep us there. He's the one that repaid some of his loans when he got there.

The figures come from the published club accounts.

I can see why not posting is a good thing, when fellow fans are looking at anyway to point score against the other.I have i myself got involved in these sorts of debates and now just see it as pointless and nothing to be gained from trying to degrade one another to look good on a supposedly informative forum.

Only the other day. Not a regular poster seen a Davies transfer gossip (BANG) shot down for misspelling. really! WTF.
Then again post placed in the wrong thread (BANG) again WTF.

Then your caught in a debate and all you wanted to do was be informative.

Anyway all the best to informative posters and hope we as a club have a better season and put this daft name to bed.

Any way - two seperate words used in such a context.

Each other would probably be a better choice of words, and then a space after full stops.

    Capital I.

    Paragraph 2 is a cluster ****.

    You're.

I hope this post was informative enough go to suit your tastes. ;)

I am not a regular poster on here, although I often read the threads. I just don't seem to have the time to join in the debates wholeheartedly and regularly. But every now and then I feel the urge to have my say.
    Now here's the thing.
I have never been anti Allam, although I find this name change topic highly emotive. I realise that people are firmly entrenched in their beliefs over this subject, I d not expect to sway anyone one way or the other with my opinion, as that's all it is, my opinion, the way I see things. No more, no less.
When the club was in financial straits, akin to a drowning man. Mr Allam donned his speedos, dived in, and saved it. (Hooray for Mr Allam). He saved the club financially. Mr Allam is without doubt an excellent businessman. Do excellent businessmen just dive in? I'd say not. He'd seen a chance, an opportunity, as good businessmen do. It was a risk, but he'd seen something, something no one else had.
He took the club, and by all accounts, he is turning it round, turning it into a profitable entity.
Excellent for all Hull City supporters. Thank you Mr Allam.
Lots of businessmen have tried and failed to do this over the years.
To Mr Allam I doff my cap, well done, three cheers.
Here's what I don care for too much in the man. His rhetoric, spin and nonsense, he talks of gifts, then holds you to ransom with blind threats in his Media outbursts, treats the supporters, his customers with utter contempt and takes us for fools.
Which brings me to the point, the name change! Dear, oh dear, oh dear.
On this issue, I can only see Mr Allam and his minions as a cancer in the club. Slowly killing the passion held by the supporters, turning them against one another, pi**ing people off, to the extent they're prepared to turn their back on the club they love, and just walk away !
I've already pointed out that any compos mentis City fans are grateful for the club being saved, yet people who seem to be pro name change deny the anti name change swell feel this! Well it's bo**ocks. We do.
If you where to save a man from drowning, I'm sure he'd be eternally grateful.
This however doesn't give you the right to go to his house and f*** his wife and daughter!
So in closing, I'd just like to point out that the name change is not for financial gain, there's no evidence to support it. It's a petty argument with the council, no more, no less.
A name change won't bring untold riches, fame, and fortune, it will at best only bring ridicule.

His best business decision was to appoint Steve Bruce. Everything else has flown from that.

That was Peter Chapman. Allam wouldn't have even heard of Bruce.
