I agree. It was a groups idea of a joke that wasn't even funny. If they had thought about it for more then a second then they would have realised this.
How on earth can they see that as funny? It beggars belief.....It is strange though that only one paper got hold of the story. It does smack of stage management.......or at best an obtuse sense of humour.

Going to Oldham Doncaster while im in Manchester for the Saints match, will be interested in seeing Oldhams fans opinions if he does sign. I know the whole thing about him being aloud to play again is a grey area and one in which I'm undecided about. However, these men are sad and pathetic and how anyone would think it is funny is beyond me
I love this city but, after years of Sunday league football, I know we have a very large underbelly of morons, thugs and numbskulls - so this is a disappointment but not a surprise...
They're genuine fans, they go to pretty much every game. Pretty sure I went to school with a few of them and occasionally see pictures of them with this flag at away games (through others facebook friends). They were all tossers at school age and don't seem to have changed since.

Yeah, unfortunately these morons are local to the Southampton area (I refuse to call them fans). They thought it would be hilarious to try and wind up Sheff Utd supporters by wearing those masks. Why they have taken to calling themselves "Scum Army" god only knows, but the description is apt, as they have the intelligence of pond life.
