Yep, we've been excellent this last week and have fully deserved a run like it. If you ignore the stupid penalty decisions then you can count it as three clean sheets too.
Agreed, a great week. Team selection for next weekend will be interesting. Barring any newbies we are a bit thin in midfield with all the injuries and African Cup
To right ^. Tbf we were really having ago during our very bad patch., so it wasn´t for a lack of trying that we could win f a. With the risk of repeating myself, again, if our DEF was sorted out we´d piss survival this season. Done very well at the back in the last 3 games (that´s not gone unnoticed) if you take away the 2 pens v LFC no team has scored v us in normal play during that time & 2 CS´s & 2 wins must be doing wonders for our confidence. We´ve still got a way to go this season & I don´t think there was any risk of this, but I´m glad we´ve stuck with NP. A number of teams would of sacked their manager by now if they were in our position. Being careful not to get carried away but I´m thinking they´ll be atleast 3 teams worse than us between Jan 1st & May 24th. We need to carry on winning v teams near us, like we did v Hull Tigers.
The next 3 home games are critical. Anything we get from our next few away games will be a bonus but we have some winnable home games and we need to take advantage
We played well at the beginning of the season when we had injuries and we are playing well now when we have a few injuries in midfield. Our poor form was when NP had a fully fit squad to choose from. Maybe NP does have his favourites and the "squad" players are putting more of a shift in?
Seems Pearson wants to get his January additions in asap for obvious reasons, so wouldn't be surprised if we have at least one new player by next sat.
Thats the way to do it MIAMI. In early nd into the squad. the others have had there chance to show what they can do and if they aint cutting it then they only have themselves to blame We, meanwhile, will wait until deadline day then get some **** in on a few million
So what's happening at LR Queeny. I read that Harry is only after loan deals not permanent transfers.? Is that coz TF is out of the country?
Thats the million dollar question we'd all like answered mate. Maybe TF has learnt his lesson and decided not to spend a load on gambles. Hr may need to shift some first to generate some cash Im not sure the plane issue will have abig affect on us TBH, more so TF himself. Our other backers have enough cash. maybe HR's head is on the line over the last few weks and he's got to prove his worth. What i do know is we do actually have a few decent players in Fer, Yun, Isla, Vargas & Ned but they dont seem to have any direction. its gonna be an intresting window, thats for sure and it remains to be seen if HR is here at the end of it or not! As long as we go nowhere near Pullis im not bothered either way. All part of being a QPR fan mate
Maybe QPR's moves are limited by possible FFP issues more than TF being otherwise unfortunately occupied.
Mate, Im fairly sure that QPr employ other people to help Tony out and if he is busy dealing with a tradgedy as he is now, then there may be other people that can make decisions....? just a thought !
And my comment was about FFP. A lack of activity from QPR may be due to the fact that they are possibly in some strife already over expenditure so may be very limited in bringing in new players without unloading a couple of dozen first.
Well Schlupp and Mahrez have been the catalysts to our turn around and they are both gone now for the next month so time for people to step up. Knockaert and Albrighton haven't performed this season but now is there chance unless Nigel does get someone in before the weekend with Shaun Maloney the man we seem to have targeted
I think we will go back in for an improved bid for Maloney around 1m. will prob get him for 1.5m. have always liked him, seems technically sound and good on the ball. would be a good addition. Looking forward to seeing more of Albrighton too and Im sure Knocky is eager to prove a point!
Ive actually liked Abrighton when he was hitting the fringes (and the post) earlier in the season, i don't quite know why we aren't playing one of our best crossers of the ball when we have a lanky forward whos good at headers on the pitch.
I agree, Albrighton's always looked good when I've seen him, and with Schlupp maturing into his role I was surprised not to see him earlier. But the problem we were worried about- Mahrez and Schlupp off to Africa, doesn't seem quite so bad now. Not sure if Maloney's the answer but he had good Premiership pedigree when he was last here a couple of years ago.
