    Why do players become sxxt when they come to us?

    Hoilet has been toilet;

    Mutch is not up to much;

    Vargas looks half the player he was

    I could go on.

    Any idea?

    It's known as the Loftus Road Talent Black Hole, any talent a player possesses is sucked out and an empty shell resembling a clockwork toy remains running up blind alleys and firing the ball randomly towards Row Z before falling in a heap...

    Believe me LaLa, Bond is a very large part of our problem. The man is not fit to coach an under-11's side, let alone a PL team.

    If we got rid of him, I guarantee you'd see an immediate improvement in our play.

    I dont think many get worse . I think too many on here have too high expectations of new players, like the ones that came from Cardiff who were relegated, from Norwich who were relegated, from Reading relegated,Hoilett came from Blackburn remember them -relegated?,Vargas had done well for Chile but not his Club, Sandro was always injured a lot, Rio was clearly a couple of seasons past his best. We bought in players who were cheap for mid-table PL teams and had no record of success even at mid-table PL level. Why does anyone expect more than a relegation struggle from them? Its just hope not expectation based on previous results.The Manager is well past his use by date and the players are playing at their level, = struggling in the PL..

    Without young players coming through we need to be investing far more on decent players and of course a decent Manager to survive in this League .

    Ozzie, why would a just-promoted team expect anything more than a struggling PL season?

    Mutch has been injured and hasn't had a decent run since back
    Vargas has been good dipped during fatherhood and looked good in the last league game

    We need to be aiming at mid- table. TF has said staying in the PL Is the priority. We can hardly expect to do that by "strengthening" the team with players who mainly are not at that level.

    I believe a lot of the drop in tallent, is players always been played out of position and the lack of constant game time for players who play well. Take Henry for example played well all season yet gets dropped for Barton who is shocking. Can't be good for their conferdence. As for players out place. Holitt was playing number ten for Blackburn. For us on the wing. Ned always at right back. So on and so on

    Fair comment mate but look at SWP .............. he plays 'left right out' and still can't make a fist of it.
    Had to ring for a tyre change.

    Seriously though .......... Holliett has been 'coming good' since day one. I'm done with him.
    Mutch ........... an international ? Think he needs a shake, nothings happening with him.
    Barton .............. well, l'm thinking, from you guys have said, that he's dropped his pants this year or is he only Championship material?
    Ferdinand ............. suffers the same illness as his brother. All he needs now is to get mum to drive him to training to complete the set.
    Calker ............. was this guy considered international material? We have let in so many goals and if we happen to lead a game, you can bet your buttcheeks that he'll let the opposition score for a draw ................. or am l being too harsh on them all because l'm one peeved fan?

    I don't really get people's complaints about Hoilett. Did anyone think we were buying the world's top prospect at the time? He left a relegated Blackburn for us.

    Not only that, but he has affected many games for us. I am not saying he should have a nailed on place in the starting lineup of each game but he has shaken up many a defence and livened up games for us. He's scored a few goals (ok, not many) but has assisted several, including our promotion goal. Even though he can sometimes run into players or not get the ball over defending heads for a cross, he often feels like one of the few players who could actually shake up a game and I often look forward to him coming on as a sub or even starting.

    I mean.... our midfield is so drab at times. We need players like him and Krancjar (who has gone missing lately? Has anyone seen him? Is he on the injury table?). We need them to offer something, even if it's only a few chances per game. It's those kinds of players that may not look like they're playing well but they may suddenly go against their own form in the game and have that moment of penetration (easy now!) and provide an assist or score. Otherwise, we'll have a midfield full of great lads who look to be huffing and puffing and passing the ball around nicely but don't actually split a defence apart all game!

    I am happy to have him in our 25 man squad.

    Is it any surprise that the bulk of players that have played to or beyond their natural level are the down-to-Earth, determined ones? Hill, Dunne, Austin, Derry, Mackie, Henry etc. Even the likes of Gallen, Bircham or Ainsworth before them.

    This doesn't surprise me and the main reason for lack of development across the board is probably due to a lack of footballing identity. Seriously, we barely even stick to a formation and as for playing style - we're not long ball specialists, we're not short passers and we don't make a conscious effort to mix up our style. We get stuck in without a deliberate, group effort to upset the opposition. We press sometimes and hold a high line very ocassionally.

    There's no obvious sign of any training drills working because we wouldn't know what we're training into the players.

    Good post KooPeeArr,

    What is the very latest on our new state of the art training facility's that we were going to be building at warren farm? We really could do with this.

    Are we now just sticking with the cheaper option of staying at Harlington and giving it a new lick of paint?
