I sympathise with the fact you shot your mouth off and are too chicken **** to back up your comment with a decent wager. Let's call it £100 donated to the charity of the winner's choice. Come on Dave, be a man and a humanitarian instead of a coward.
If you're talking Premier League medals, Gerrard's trophy room contains none.Manchester United's Class of '92 – Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Beckham, Nicky Butt, and Gary and Phil Neville – have 50 among them. And yet Gerrard was a more complete footballer than any of them. Some of those Manchester United players were better than Gerrard in some aspects. Scholes was a better possession player, Giggs a better dribbler. None could match Gerrard's all-around ability, his combination of skill, athleticism, and big-game impact. Scoring goals is the most difficult thing in football. Gerrard has scored 183 for club and country, more than Giggs (181), Scholes (169) or Beckham (146). He's the only player to score in the final of the FA Cup, League Cup, Uefa Cup, and Champions League. He's collected more individual Player of the Year awards than all of the Class of '92 put together. League titles are won by teams, not individuals. The United boys didn't outscore Gerrard on medals 50-0 because they were better players. It was because there were six of them and only one of him.
Maybe you can tell us why he was better then? Because he certainly was better going forward or defensively when compared with Scholes. I take it you're not familiar with Scholes impact in big games. Or Keanes? Or how both were always willing to sacrifice themselves for the team yet still give their all.
"team" being the key word, the yoonited "team" for the vast majority of Gerrard's LFC career were better than those around him. So it doesn't take Einstein to work out it would be easier in a better "team" to take the game by the scruff of the neck, none of the players from yoonited in my last post could have done what Gerrard did at LFC because their all round game was nowhere near the all round quality needed to do so.
Its harder to stand out in a better team than it is in a poorer side as those around you are also very good. Scott Parker once won POTY by standing out in a **** team
"stand out" Gerrard was not about that, he was about winning games almost single handedly, inspiring teammates to give that little bit extra to win important matches.
Funny that with the board being reset and all the bans lifted, the opponent WUMs still all flock to here #obsessed BTW I still only post on this board because I only ever posted the truth and only got banned because people couldn't take it, not because I was ever trying to WUM
Gerrard was about taking the glory. Its no surprise that glory came about while having players who did all the hard work for him. Wumming? I'm having a civilised discussion regarding a couple of midfielders.
I wasn't referring to this conversation. You same 'same old' which suggests its been said to you before
Get to **** UIR, that's the only reason P Neville, Butt, Anderson, the twin Brazilian that got ****ed and others won medals at yoonited.
Usually follows a pattern. Next you will be telling me to **** off and asking yourself to ban this ****.
