I think we have to aim as high as possible anything else is just bad psychology. The team is under performing so its essential to try and build confidence. - The league is highly unlikely but we need to try and finish well within the top four. We can surely improve and I doubt Sants and WestHam can maintain momentum. - Champions League is not impossible. We have a good fixture and progressing to the next stage could be a massive confidence boost. - FA Cup. Need to try and retain it.
Well wenger seems to want to retain the FA Cup from his pre game comments, let's hope it translates onto the pitch against Hull. I also agree the Champions League could be a surprise opportunity to salvage something positive from our season.
OK, I'll play, We should aim for a successful defence of the FA Cup (when was the last time that was done?), a good run in the CL (past the quarters would be progress), and we should aim for consistency in the league resulting in third place and automatic CL qualification. Sorry to mention Wenger again but even if we achieved these three objectives I would still favour replacing him in the summer. We have been more than patient and I think the only thing that would entitle him to stay is a CL trophy or a serious title push in the 2nd half of the season (by that I mean still within a chance of winning the league in May), both of which look unlikely.
